I too think it's a rough clip. The violence in the scene had to of been trimmed for the clip.

The first movie was good enough to get me hooked. The second film amazed me and put the first one to shame, IMHO.

I really enjoy Ryan Reynolds and I hope he's got some good screen time. After that clip this went from a theater film to a DVD release day buy. If the trailers are better if could go back to a viewing & and buy.

Maybe Van Wilder can save his reputation by splicing some home movie of himself getting jiggy with it with Alanis Morissette into the film.

I enjoyed the first two movies, so I will give this one a shot regardless of the lackluster clip.

What's your point, Walter?

I really liked Blade, Blade 2 was fun, not really as good as the first, a little hokier in my opinion. But nonetheless, this has been a solid franchise. I'm hoping to see a little more Blade wacking vampires action. I kind of missed the inclusion of a human character in part 2, but these at heart are rock em sock em action movies, and here's hoping this one delivers. I'm sure it will.

One last request...how bout some gratuitous Jessica Biel nudity? These movies aren't high art...it doesn't have to make sense...I won't mind.

Looks interesting although I first thought I was seeing a remake of that scene in the Terminator where Arnold is going thru the police station.

According to AICN, the MTV clip is heavily edited (none of the trademark vampire death effects).

Why in hell did they put Jessica Biel in this movie. I saw previews of it on intertainment tonight and she looks stupid in the fight scenes. She is not all that in the first place. Whoever the casting director of this movies is sure messed this one up.

About that MTV BLADE 3 clip...

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with some words from the inner circle of BLADE: TRINITY on that first bit of footage from the film that hit MTV during the Movie Awards. Apparently the clip was severely edited at the last minute at the demand of MTV. Missing are "vampire ashings" and the result was something "kinda close" to what director David Goyer and his team are doing, but with the guts taken out.

Personally, I'm glad to hear it. I liked a lot of what I saw in that clip, but had some misgivings. Fingers crossed that we get another kick-ass addition to the BLADE saga!!!

I thought "Forgot my sword" was funny.
But maybe I'm easily amused.

I think the clip doesn't say much about the movie.
Still looking forward to it.

Why? These films are on the opposite ends of the genre spectrum. I think they are lucky to be released in the same weekend, because there won't be direct competition from either one.

Counter programming can be really effective when you're releasing a small or niche movie in the shadow of a huge blockbuster.....but I don't think New Line will be happy to take Ocean's 11 overflow, they'd probably prefer to own there own weekend.

And the Ocean's 12 audience is pretty broad.

From a business stand point, New Line and WB are both part of the same parent company, why would they compete against themselves in this way?

Well, that logic has some merit, but we msut also consider when this is being released. The december release period (especially those two weeks around winter break) is an enormous box office bonanza that really is quite good at letting lots of films be very successful. Remember when Titanic and Tomorrow Never Dies opened? Titanic went on to record numbers, but Tomorrow Never Dies still maintained excellent numbers and was very succesful. The following week saw As Good As it Gets open and reach great numbers too. None of them really niche films at all. That time of year has lots of room for big openings on the same weekend, and considering the time frame and differences in market for the films, I think both have the potential to be very succesful (well, Ocean's 12 moreso).

Not too impressed with this trailer. Then again I didn't really like II when I saw it in the theater, but upon repeat viewings it grew on me. Hope we get a new trailer soon.

It's not a trailer, just a clip from the movie. A cut-up-edited-to-hell one too.
