Bumping again for an early super-positive review: http://www.chud.com/index.php?type=reviews&id=7133

Also, I'll post the trailer link here for those who haven't seen it yet: http://www.apple.com/trailers/wb/thefountain/

I was wondering what happened to this movie. They showed scenes at Comic-Con last year.

Nice - an actual teaser trailer that gives only brief glimpses of the movie. And leaves you wanting more.

I saw that trailer in the theater last summer... nothing new =

Still excited for the movie though.

That's a beautiful poster. It's just a shame that it has text on it. I like what they did with the year at the bottom.

Seriously, that is a scary concept.

You fail to age as the universe itself does. You’d be fucked! Great poster!

(and talk about cabin fever in the egg with the tree in it)

I don't think a movie that's labeled as the "xxx of its generation" ever actually pans out to be the "xxx of its generation".

Lets just hope its good.

Yeah, wasn't Garden State supposed to be The Graduate of this generation?

Opens October 13. If all goes as planned, I'll be seeing this at Fantastic Fest on September 28. They've just announced the title and an Aronofsky intro/Q&A as the closing night event.

Hmmm...haven't heard that one but Uwe Boll as the Ed Wood of our generation has panned out pretty well.

a recent blurb from Jeffrey Wells:

"Aronofsky's The Fountain (Warner Bros., 10.13), which I saw with about 20 other journalists last night in a plex on 5th Street, is the most beautiful and best-cafted cosmic head-trip movie since I don't know what. 2001: A Space Odyssey? Fight Club? The first half of Altered States?..."

Mother

Fucking

WOW.

That trailer gave me chills. That has immediately become my most anticipated film of the year, easily.

For some reason, the 2nd time I watched the trailer, it didn't wow me as much.

I've watched it about five times now. The "give me chills" factor is definitely still there.
