It's a triple feature, but still worth mentioning . . .

The "Three Decades Of College" Trilogy:
- Animal House
- Revenge Of The Nerds
- PCU

Requiem for a Dream and Spun.

SPR and Schindlers would be excellent, as they kind of show different sides of the same conflict, but damn depressing nonetheless.

I'm holding out for one that is a little more worthy to hang with those other three.

You include PCU, but your waiting on OLD SCHOOL?

I can't stand PCU, there has to be a better example of that genre from the 90's.

As for another good double feature, how about Gandhi and Sexy Beast. The two sides of Ben Kingsley.

It's been a while since I've seen Old School, but I remember thinking that it was just another one of the over-the-top, bodily-function-humor movies that have been coming out so frequently in the last 5+ years. I don't think to deserves to go with those other three. I think that they all relied more on comic humor than "gross-out" humor and I respect that more.

Secondly, Old School wasn't really about the college experience . . . it was about a bunch of men who were having mid-life crises and reacting to that by trying to gain their college experience back. While taking place in a college environment, I really have trouble calling it a "college movie"

Finally, and more personally, I also think that I identified more with the characters in PCU because that was the time when I was in college. There are very few characters in that movie who I could not directly compare to people that I knew while at school.

Sorry for the hijack . . . you may have your thread back now . . .

I always thought "Pecker" and "Snatch" would make a good double feature.
