The perfect double feature
 

At times, I'll watch a movie and think it would be a perfect double feature with another film that's similar in style. For example, when I saw "Nobody's Fool" (with Paul Newman), overall it reminded me of "Beautiful Girls" for some odd reason. And just last night, I saw "The Yards" for the first time (which I enjoyed a great deal) . And I kept thinking of "Copland" while watching it. Besides sequels (which would be an obvious choice), what movies do you think would make the perfect double feature?

Requiem for a Dream and 21 Grams

How bout a night of contrasts with Plan Nine From Outer Space and Citizen Kane ,watch what is widely considered the worst movie of all time then watch the one that is widely considered the best of all time

A Director's night would be great:

Rushmore and Royal Tenenbaums (or Bottle Rocket) - Wes Anderson

Vertigo and Rear Window (or Psycho) - Hitchcock

Alien and Black Hawk Down - Ridley Scott

Spiderman and Evil Dead - Sam Raimi

Mousehunt and Pirates of the Caribbean - Gore Verbinski

Goldeneye and The Mask of Zorro - Martin Campbell

Whenever I watch two movies back to back I like having two different tones. Mix a light with a quiet or dark movie. I find it to be better for me not to overlap emotions too much.

But to answer intent of question..

A few days after seeing Elephant I watched Targets, and it struck me that the combo would be an interesting double feature.
