No shit. Guys, I love LOTR's, hell enough to buy props of it. But come on, can't both LOTR and Star Wars Co-exist or does it have to be a constant struggle of one upping another?

As far as 7,8,9: if Lucas stays away from Directing/Writing, I would have some interest in seeing it. If not, I'd have to watch it out of morbid curiosity

There can only be one franchise to rule them all
Okay, enough of this silly LOTR/Star Wars bullshit. Love one or the other, or lover both.
I have never in my life seen a standard contract clause get completely blown out of proportion such as this. This is standard stuff. It doesn't mean new films are going to get made. The word is definitive. ABSOLUTELY NO NEW STAR WARS FILMS!!!! Episode III is the last one. So this thread might as well die.
Besides, Mayhew has already called bullsh*t on this one.

Essentially, Han and Leia's kids are in their mid-late teens and the story focuses a little more on them.
The main issue is theirs an alien race from beyond the galactic rim (unexplored space) that's come into the galaxy with the sole intent of wiping everything out for religious reasons (machines/technology are an abominamation to them, all their ships and stuff are organic and grown).

Could we please stop the threadcrapping already man? This whole, "Return-of-the-king-was-so-good-I'm-not-gonna-watch-any-movie-ever-again cuz-no-movie-is-ever-gonna-give-me-a-hard-on-even-if-it-was-porn" thing some fanboys have going on is reeeally getting old.
