Yes, it's been announced. Again to star Jason Statham, the screenplay was done by Besson and once again, Corey Yuen will direct.

I enjoyed the first one, so I'm not against another.

While many here hated it, I think The Transporter was probably the best american action movie of the past 5 years. YES, the plot was horrible, YES Shu Qi's acting was terrible (although she actually has become a very good actress), but the fights were phenomenal & I think Statham makes for an excellent action star. Can't wait for the sequal.

While i didn't hate it, i was certainly dissapointed, particularly with the fights. Equilibrium was the best american action movie of the last 5 years :P

It wasnt the best action film of the past five years by a long shot IMO. I could name 50 better action films. I will probably only rent this unless I hear very good things.

I like Jason Statham but I didn't care much for the first one Hopefully it's not a "let's cash in and kill the franchise" kind of sequel and they do better with the second one

I rather enjoyed the first one. I thought the fight scenes were rather entertaining, and am looking forward to #2.

I really really dug the first one...so I'm all for it! Me and my best friend came out of the first movie going "Lets Transport someone!" Very funny...we loved it!

Now here's one movie that certainly didn't need a sequel. I thought the first one was decent, not great. I'll catch "2" on HBO.

no nude scenes (PG-13) but Shu Qi looked great. Overall, it was a very enjoyable movie. Sometimes Im not in the mood for a movie with alot of substance as it requires added attention, unlike this flick which was horribly written but had great action and music. Looking forward to 2.

I can't even fathom how it could be a "Let's cash in" move. The worst it could do is make a complete rehash of the original, with slightly different action set pieces and it would be on par with the original. Because really, the ONLY thing that movie had going for it was the action.

Although I didn't care much for the first one at all. I can suspend disbelief somewhat, but there was just too much in that movie. Still I'm intrigued by the idea, and I'm a sucker for movies shot in a Euro setting.

You know what bugged me most about the Transporter? The music/The score. Horrible. I never had a chance to see it from the beginning, but never could stomach watching till the end.

For me...rental at best.

Transporter was terrible. I would've liked it if they didn't put that Shu Chi chick in it. She ruined the whole damn movie. I wouldn't mind if they put some hot latina in there and give Jason some better arsenal in terms of weapon and transfortation. Perhaps some heavy plasma rifle and incendiary grenades. And the new M5 as his ride?

Eh should be fun. The first was an amusing movie that kind of got dragged down with Shu Qi's character. Cute, but I though the whole driver aspect was far more interesting in the beginning than Statham saving the girl.
