I can see it being a "worst viewing experience", but not a worst movie. (Maybe for some, a hair too small to split???)
I guess it depends on why you see a movie. 99% of the time, I watch movies to be entertained, not to admire good directing or acting. I haven't seen Requiem, but I though Happiness was an awful, depraved, movie and couldn't even finish it.

I'm so glad to see someone else who cannot stand this loathsome and, IMO, truly awful film. On top of its Reefer Madness idiocy, it is downright painful to watch such a fine actress as Ellen Burstyn portray the stupidest life form in the universe.

I can agree with this...went in thinking I'd like it. Found it more depressing than funny.

I'll also agree with this. One of the worst movies I've ever seen. That something like this can be a hit is pretty sad IMO.

I'm sure some will disagree, but I found Mystic River and Gothika to be absolutely terrible. Also, Scary Movie 3 is the biggest piece of crap ever. Mystic River I found the plot to be too drawn out. Gothika, the entire plot was just ridiculous. Many people, including myself, were laughing at some of the scenes meant to be dramatic or scary. Scary Movie 3 was just not funny. I was getting pretty upset with the movie theater until I saw Bad Santa (I really enjoyed it, as I noticed some people in this thread did not) and Big Fish.

Well, I've seen both these movies not recently but they were ok but not memorable for what they were i.e. a thriller and an action/disaster movie. Everyone has a different take on any movie but these two were not the worst I've seen. They were ok and I was entertained. Usually Morgan Freeman plays strong steady characters.
Spoiler:
I guess his fanatical turn in Dreamcatcher and the bizarre white eye brows was unsettingly for me. I would have prefered the movie spend more time on the telepathtic friends rather than the uninteresting and grossed out alien invasion

Let me also add Legally Blonde 2 to the list. BLAH!
I actually feel asleep during Cat in the Hat so I will include that as well.

Really? I loved it.

I think I've been pretty careful about seeing bad movies recently. The last one I remember was It's Pat when it came out on DVD.

The only good thingthat came out of Requiem for a Dream is that I finally get that parody of the film in a recent simpsons episode.

Peter Pan - Sorry, I just couldn't get into it at all. It had everything that a Peter Pan movie should have: Peter, the kids, Captain Hook, Lost Boys, & the fairy. But frankly, the kid who played Peter seemed like a fairy himself.

The script was pretty bad too.

Psst. Harrison Ford can't lose something he never had (talent).

I can't believe all these comments about Dreamcatcher ha ha! Geez, I must be the only person on this board who actually liked it.

But I don't watch horror films. So I'm probably not the best person to judge. It was funny (in a disgusting kind of way heh heh). A girl friend and I watched that and Ghostship, and she hated Dreamcatcher . . . while I thought Ghostship was a dull rearrangement of overused themes.

I couldn't understand however, in the one trailer I've seen, why the director would choose a bright sunny day to shoot a scene that might be better framed with, you know, fog, shadows etc. That was just a trailer however. I'd like to hear more comments about this, because if it's that bad I'd like to keep the book in my head as I've envisioned it.

Battle Royale 2, I enjoyed the first movie a good deal but could barely get through the sequel. The anti-american bs is outrageous in it, the director seemingly supported the attacks on 9/11. In one scene twin towers are destroyed by the "heroes" of the movie, another hero is named Osamu,
Spoiler:
the heroes retreat to "free" Afghanistan at the end of the movie
, and terrorists are referred to as freedom fighters.

A terrorist to one is a freedom fighter to another. But besides the "anti-american" sentiments, was the rest of the movie ok? execution wise, I guess I'm asking. I really want to check this out when it is legitimately available. I could care less about "anti-american" sentiments in a movie or any where else.

I agree on both counts, completely forgot about Scary Movie 3 - like a bad dream that thankfully fades from your memory as soon as it is over.

They used a lot of CGI that looked really bad and the second half was pretty boring.

There were not just anti-american sentiments, the director supports terrorism and the attacks on 9/11. I'm sorry but if you couldn't care less about a movie that supported the death of 3000 innocent people then there is something wrong with you.

you are acting as if 9/11 was the only act of terrorism. I never said I didn't care about the 3000+ people that died that day, you did, nor the ones that have over the years suffered or will suffered, and yes that does include the other end too. Is not like the US never supported terrorism or other questionable things, i.e. 9/11/73, or in fact the past 30 years. Get off the high horse. and I still could care less about someone's support (vocal, artistic, etc) or not for terrorism as long as they are not picking up a gun, and even then is their right they just have to be prepared to pay for the consequences, because I do beleive in freedom of expression especially artistic expression, and freedom of choice. are the directors profit going to osama? Chances are higher than you filling up your SUV at your local texaco or buying your close at the gap produced somewhere in indonesia would provide more for the evils that these men are doing or any other from any country and that does include this one. Also, I don't know if you follow world news, but no one seems to like americans, just other americans and half of the brits so chances are higher that we will start seeing more anti-american sentiments in films, and other arts because there is a backlash. Is not the wildwest, there's no reasons to be cowboys. Its a shame too because many could take a lot from this country, its people and their ideals, even if sometimes americans and the gov. seem to forget them.

Now back on topic, that's a shame about the CGI. It seems that is the thing to do, go CGI happy. With all the actors, is it hard to follow or is it broken down like the first one, i.e. a little at a time? thanks for the info. I haven't heard all that much about this one, I guess is a clue, huh. thanks for your response.

Angel

edit: the "you" in the second part is not you the individual is a "you" in general didn't want it to seem like it was personal.

I watched Interstate 60 last night. It's in my top 5 worst movies ever.
