Why is Sam still fat in RotK?

You'd think he'd lose at least some weight because of walking such a long distance with hardly any food or water. Frodo should've been all bones by the end.

Actually, Sam did lose weight and they had to have Astin wear padding in ROTK.

I agree with Walletboy Sam definitely looked much thinner by the time they were at Mount Doom. Keep in mind, the start of ROTK takes place immeadiatel after TT, so unless Sam was bullemic, you probably werent gonna notice a big difference right away.

Frodo was all bones at the end. He looked like a skeleton with a wig to me, practically. I mean, he wasnt labor camp thin, but he was definitely lighter for his travels.

The same Richard Hatch or Ruford were both still fat at the end of survivor. He lost weight, but had a lot more to loose than the others.
