I have high hopes for this film. I'm a Tom Hanks fan so I'm looking forward to a great film. Yeah, I know.... I'm setting myself up for a big letdown... but there's always the chance of leaving the theater with a smile.

We're commenting on how much the trailer (link above) makes us want to see the film. Since trailers are marketing material, this is the appropriate response to a film trailer:
If the film is a comedy, does this trailer make the film look funny?
Does this look like a film that I would be interested in paying money to see?
So yes, you can very much comment on the effects of a trailer. Just because you cannot form an opinion doesn't mean that all of us cannot.

I loved Intolerable Cruelty up to the third act, which cooled my affection of the film considerably. But it was still a fun film regardless, although not quite as great as it could have been.
I'll be there opening night for Ladykillers, but I have to agree that the trailer did little for me. We shall see.
Cake?

While watching the trailer, I kept thinking to myself, "this is going to be another Ocean's 11/Italian Job hiest movie". But then I saw it the Coen Brothers movie. But now I'm not sure what it is... what do u guys think?>

To me this one has their fingerprints on it. Their quirky brand of humor and knack for wacky dialogue just shines out from the trailer. As the great poet once said, "we must all have waffles forthwith".

Sure, One of the finest black comedies ever made. Guinness is astonishing in it, which is why I'm pleased that Hanks isn't trying to copycat his performance.

I really liked O Brother, and the Man Who Wasn't There was good to see once, but doesn't really hold up to repeat viewings.
Intolerable Cruelty was an hour and a half of my life that I'm not getting back. Just awful.

Looks fun. Chances are this will be somewhat like O Brother ,Where Art Thou with its humor.
