Is LXG that bad?

You might like it if you liked any of the following films:
Tomb Raider
Batman & Robin
Wild Wild West
In other words, it's a movie that is painfully dumb if you put any thought into it, but it's also (IMO) not quite fun enough to be a good popcorn movie (like "Pirates of the Caribbean"). There were a few enjoyable scenes, and I like the concept, but it eventually peters out and I lost interest.

I had a good laugh when they were interviewing Connery about the movie, and he said he took the role because he turned down parts in LOTR's and Matrix. Good pick Sean

Graphic Novels are oversized comics.
Both volumes of the League come with text portions in the back to supplement the main story. The second volume's text is especially good - for all fans of old literature and movies.

I thought Bad Boys 2 was downright offensive - but does have better action. LXG wins in a close contest.

LXG was...wasted effort. While I thought some of the production design was interesting, and the invisible man effects quite solid, the movie suffered from a really awful script. I mean...downright stupid. The action wasn't even really entertaining. I'm not familiar with the graphic novel, but the idea in itself has lots of potential. And I promise you this it was quite wasted. While there could have been some great exploration of these unique characters, instead it's just a poor action movie with big budget production values. Oh well.

I would say Bad Boys 2 is marginally better than LXG.
Both aren't very good movies but Bad Boys 2 was fairly entertaining up to like the 3rd gun fight scene (there's like 8 or something like that so it gets pretty boring after awhile)

Yeah, he turned them down because he didn't understand them. I can see maybe not understanding Matrix, but what's not to understand about LOTR???

There are some good performances in the movie, but the movie as a whole was really quite terrible. I say if you aren't a BIG fan of one of the actors, rent it before making your decision. If you love say Peta or Stuart or Sean, it still might be worth your time. Maybe. If you REALLY love them.

I've had the LXG DVD for about two weeks now, and I watched it and thought it was a decent film. Not horrible, but not that great either. I have read the original source material and liked that. The movie is different from it, and not nearly as good as the graphic novel is, but definitely worth atleast a watch.
Don't know about the replay value of the disc though. Rental or a buy depending on the price you can find it at.
