Overrated Films

Which films do you think are overrated? I'm talking mainstream films and cult films. I think this would be interesting to see which films people feel are overrated.

My list:

SEVEN SAMURAI
HORROR OF DRACULA (I prefer CURSE OF FRANKENSTEIN. Seriously overpraised)
THE BIG SLEEP (I love Bogart, he's my favorite actor of all-time, but in this one, he might as well be [badjoke]Humphrey BORE-gart[/badjoke])
PSYCHO
THE GODFATHER (Part II is MUCH better)
DR. ZHIVAGO (Overlong costume drama. Hated it)
ALL ABOUT EVE
MY FAIR LADY
THE GRADUATE
THE EXORCIST
FIGHT CLUB
THE MATRIX
LORD OF THE RINGS: THE TWO TOWERS
SOME LIKE IT HOT (I love Billy Wilder. ONE TWO THREE, SUSNET BOULEVARD, and DOUBLE INDEMNITY are all great, but I didn't like this at all)
ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW (I prefer DePalma's PHANTOM OF THE PARADISE)
DUCK SOUP (I love The Marx Brothers, but I didn't care for this one)
SCARFACE (Remake)
STAR WARS: A NEW HOPE
JAWS

Please don't bash me for my opinions. That's all I am, another opinion. Don't like it? No problem. But lets not start a flame war over this.

of current films, I found "O Brother, Where Art thou?" seriousily overrated. Not my favourite Coen brother's film.

Well, I'm not sure is there a thread for "overrated films" especially - most people only post about one film being too-well received (just do a search for "Kill Bill", "Donnie Darko", ANYTHING Kubrick!).

There is, of course, the unpopular movie opinions thread.

Right... and I hate all the movies people here fall head over heel about.

Are you just bored or trying to start a war? If you don't like a certain movie, keep it to yourself or discuss it in length. Don't start some sorry thread for a excuse to bash a few films people like, but you don't.

They should rate these kinds of posts thread craps of the week.

Lawrence of Arabia - It was ok. The cinematography was good.

Citizen Kane - I guess it was revolutionary for its time, but does that make it the greatest ever?

Raging Bull - I just didn't feel anything for the characters.

I still, to this day, don't understand the terms "overrated" and "underrated"

Overrated: A film you don't like that (seemingly) everyone else does.

Underrated: A film you like that hardly anyone else does.

They're just a way of saying your personal opinion of a film contrasts with the general consensus.

Funny. The only difference is, I won't get bent out of shape over it. So no, i'm not trying to start a fight. "Thread crap of the week"? Hardly. DVDManiacs have the same thread running in their forum, and there hasn't been any problems and it's over 5 pages long. If everyone here could get along and not step on other peoples toes for their OPINION, it would be a lot easier for people to express their OPINION.
