Michael Myers will never die...just watched the Halloween 2nd disc documentary and Akkad stated he'll keep resurrecting him over and over and over....I love that guy.

Wonder if Akkad knows that everyone thinks the series has become a joke?

From: Right now, my location is DVDTalk, but then again, you should already know that, shouldn't you?
Frankly, the impetus behind Michael's rage is gone--he has now officially wiped out his entire family line. RESURRECTION was workable in that Michael was just chillin' out back at the pad when his lair was invaded, so I can understand him wanting to make mincemeat out of those who "defiled" his territory, but where do we go, narratively, from here? I think it's essential that Jamie Lee Curtis come back one more time, damaged, perhaps even paraplegic, from her fall in RESURRCTION, to take that fucker of a brother out for once and for all. It would make (save for the misstep of SEASON OF THE WITCH) for a perfectly rounded series, and would also cap it with a message of good always eventually winning over evil, which I would personally would like to see. Watching Laurie Strode suffer so for several films, only to be doomed in the end still sticks in my craw as wrong.

I have a soft spot for the Halloween films. I think the first film is a horror classic and I think Halloween 4 was the best sequel out of the entire franchise as it was able to recapture what made the first film so great. Halloween 2 and Halloween 5 have their moments, Halloween 6 is better in the unaltered edit, but I think Season of the Witch, H20, and Resurrection suck. Hardcore.

From: WAS looking for My Own Private Stuckeyville, but stuck in Liberty City (while missing Vice City)
For me, Halloween ended with H20.
Could care less what ridiculous reason they used to bring back Mike for Resurrection [while getting rid of JLC].

Halloween is my favorite horror series bar none. The original is perfectly crafted. Part 2 follows up nice and is fairly well done. I loved parts 4 and 5. I think they just work very well on a multitude of different levels for the Halloween franchise. Part 6 had some interesting concepts and info, but sucked ass as a film. H20 was fun and a good Halloween romp. Ressurection was watchable, but abmissable after seeing it once (at least you get to see where he chills after killing some Haddonfield peeps).
As for part 9... I honestly hope that they make it hard like the original Halloween. Michael is one bad ass motherf**ker. In the original he kills people and just stares at them as they die with his head cocked. That is fairly creepy for a slasher flick. That's what worked to me for this series. He didn't give a f**k and just killed whatever was in his way so he could kill off his family line. Now that they're all gone, the producers have to make the storyline work or else it's going to make the series laughable (kind of what happened to Friday the 13th unfortunately). All I want is it to be gritty, creepy and to end the series on a high note.
