Stealth was painful to watch. I've not seen Coming to America.

And I'll be going to an afternoon matinee of Mummy 3, hoping to be entertained by a mindless popcorn flick, like I was in the first two. The re-casting does bother me, I'd also prefer a cop-out off screen death or something.

Jet Li + Michelle Yeoh = no brainer I'm there!

Adding those two more than compensates for dropping Weisz who I never much liked anyways.

Is Maria Bello definitely taking over the role from Rachel, or is she possibly doing a new role? Maybe they'll write out Rachel's character.

Apparently taking over although it would be better if they created a new character. It would be easy to write out Weisz.

Despite the absence of Rachel Weisz, that's a helluva cast they've assembled. Too bad I have no faith in Rob Cohen's ability to make a decent film.

Sounds like a decent story. I liked the first two Mummy movies, Fast & Furious and xXx, so I look forward to this one.

The first one is going to be hard to beat in my opinion, hopefully they'll do it justice

I'm not ashamed to say that I really like the first two. But I agree that Cohen is a hit or miss director (Dragon & Fast & The Furious were good but XXX & Stealth sucked). I'll be seeing this opening day though.

I can't believe we haven't gotten a trailer for this yet! Cohen posted on his blog at Easter that one would be coming soon...but weeks later there is still no word...I would think Universal would want to get one running before "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" but I guess with no news, that ain't happening...anyone heard anything?

And although he's heavily biased, Rob Cohen indicates that the studio/producers/brass etc. are all through the roof with the movie...very happy how it turned out... I really hope Rob Cohen finally made a movie that lives up to it's premise.

Loved the first one, didn't really like the second one, hopeful for the third. However, my hopes aren't too high since Cohen is a worse hack than Roland Emmerich.

I did not realize Cohen was directing this. He makes Stephen Sommers seem like a good director.

Well...oh well, I guess.

From the little I know about this movie, the premise sounds promising.

But I get the feeling it won't be as good as the first one and that it probably would be better suited as a HK movie.

I don't know what's going on with the marketing for this summer's movies. Indy 4 took forever to get a teaser out and here we are less than a month and a half from the release date with no full trailer.

The Incredible Hulk took a long time to get a weakass trailer(or is it a teaser?) from Universal.

And The Mummy 3(not surprisingly another Universal property) has had no poster or trailer with the movie due out in 4 months.

Ironically one of the few summer flicks to be marketed well so far, The Dark Knight, now has to walk a fine line so as not to appear to be exploiting the death of Heath Ledger.

Coming Soon got a snap of a one sheet, but it hasn't shown up anywhere in the wild as far as I know, so technically, you're both right!

They did make a Mummy 3........no Rachael Weiss. And it's sent in China, not Egypt.

Brandon Frazier was in it....but it was not worth the money.

There is no debating that the poster looks really good.

I like Weisz as much as the next guy, but her exclusion won't impact whether the Mummy 3 is good or not. That is all on Cohen. And it is not like they replaced her with some hack. Bello is a great actress.

Any other yet-to-be-released movies you wanna tell us about, Future boy?

Plus, it looks like in the future, someone called "Brandon Frazier" is in it.

What a bland and uninspired poster. Floating heads/torsos!
