Alien vs. Predator
From darkhorizons.com
Aliens vs. Predator: Latest rumour is that design wise, the aliens will resemble the ridged foreheads of those in "Aliens" and NOT the smooth headed appearance of the other chapters. Sounds neato! Now change the director and its even more better... |
Whoopidie-doo. I thought they were just different species.

Screw this, I'm not going to go see the movie now. Bastards!
|
Ridged foreheads, Smooth foreheads, don't matter. Batman's takin' 'em down.
|
And he's gonna take some Predators with him! :D
|
...not if the Gremlins have any say in the matter.
|
They should go with a new design since Aliens take on the characteristics of whatever the facehugger "hugged".

Well that explains the Dog Alien in 3, but do the aliens in 1,2,4 all look the same? I don't know.

"Also, their heads still look like human jaws on the end of a human penis."
 I really love these 2 characters and i grew up watching them. But i just can't get excited about this movie knowing paul anderson(not the boogie nights director) is directing this. :( |

Don't worry, they'll have marines and other humans running around in the middle of the action creating plenty of dialogue and fodder. :)

I like Paul Anderson. Resident Evil was good, Event Horizon was decent, what are you guys wanting...Luc Besson?

Originally posted by lesterlong I like Paul Anderson. Resident Evil was good, Event Horizon was decent, what are you guys wanting...Luc Besson? GANGSTER: We need this done tuesday. Are you free tuesday? PREDATOR: <font size="1">tututututututut....</font> GANGSTER: Um... Okay then. (Scene 2. A gang of aliens breaks into a drug dealer's house and kills everyone to the melodious sounds of Beethoven. A little girl escapes and contacts the friendly PREDATOR that lives down the hall.) GIRL: Please open the door! (PREDATOR watches her through his infra-red peephole. He lets her in.) (Scene 3. The GIRL and the PREDATOR sit down together. He's very uncomfortable.) GIRL: My name's Newt. PREDATOR: <font size="1">tututututututut....</font> GIRL: Why? Well, Sigourney Weaver wouldn't come back and I was the only other likable character in the series. PREDATOR: <font size="1">tututututututut....</font> GIRL: Bill Paxton? Why? He dies in every film. Terminator, Aliens... PREDATOR: <font size="1">tututututututut....</font> GIRL: Wow, you too? Man, he needs to pick better roles. Teach me to be a predator so I can kill those aliens who killed my family! (Scene 4. The GIRL and the PREDATOR start training. The ALIENS come back, more of them this time, armed with a lot of Eric Serra music. CHRIS TUCKER enters, and tries to fight them off with helium-voiced annoyance. This works for a while, then they kill him. The audience cheers. PREDATOR fights them all off, but is then mortally wounded by the Alien Queen.) PREDATOR: (computer-synthesized recording) This... is... for...... Newt. (He starts laughing, and the building blows up. NEWT somehow escapes.) NEWT: Wow, I can't believe I escaped! I'll miss you Predator! (Suddenly, a crowd of Fox Execs come and kill Newt, thereby removing any interest we had in the film. THE END) |

Stan Winston Aboard Constantine, Not Alien vs. Predator Friday, August 1, 2003 1:20 CDT Moviehole talked to f/x guru Stan Winston who said he's on board the Constantine adaptation but surprisingly will not be working on Alien vs. Predator. What's odd, however, is that Constantine is at Warner Bros. and is produced by Lauren Shuler Donner... did Stan get mixed up? "Right now, I'm in the middle of working on a wonderful movie over at Columbia – with Laura Ziskin, who did "Spider-Man", called "Constantine", based on a comic called "Hellblazer". I can't say too much, because of a confidentially agreement I have with them, but the script is wonderful and we're working on some great character designs for it", says Winston. One film Winston’s a little disappointed he didn't get asked to be a part of was the upcoming "Aliens vs. Predator". "I wanted to be involved in that so badly", he confesses. "I mean I created the Predator. I drew him up on a plane ride with Jim Cameron. And then Aliens, I created the Queen. So they're like my babies, so I wasn't very happy that I'm not asked to be a part of it. Pride of Ownership, I guess. Still, I wish them the best of luck, and just hope they do the film some justice". Winston’s crossing his fingers they do follow-up "Predator" and "Aliens" movies so that he might get a chance to work alongside his "babies" again. :( This news sucks :( |
Hellblazer
|
Uh, why didn't they want Winston to work on AvP?
I'm sure they'll get a group competent enough, but yeah, that's kind of disappointing. |

Alien vs. Predator - starring...
...Sanaa Lathan!!! I'm sure that is who you were all expecting. ;) It also has Lance Henriksen and the Italian guy from Under the Tuscan Sun.
here's the linky: http://www.moviepoopshoot.com/news/oct03/115.html She's pretty, now let's see her kick some ass!!! Honestly, how many people were excited about this movie in the first place? |
Studio sources said the Kline character is reminiscent of the Ellen Ripley role Sigourney Weaver played in the "Alien" series. http://www.moviepoopshoot.com/news/o.../daily/115.jpg -rolleyes- Stupid studio logic.. |
Paul Anderson is directing NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :( :( :( :( :( :( :( stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid! |
In other news, the teaser poster should be out in the next few weeks.
|
Oh boy, I hope my dream movie doesn't turn out to be a turd. It sounds like it may be.
|
I had hope for this movie. While the concept of a versus movie was odd, it had potential to be really awesome. Then they hired Paul Anderson to direct, and then they let him WRITE the movie too. Oh well.
|
|
Paul Anderson is directing. That is reason enough for me not to see it.
