Artists whose movies you wont watch because of their ideologies.
For example:
John Travolta (scientologist)
Sean Penn (anti war)
Pier Paolo Pasolini (Marxist)
Ronald Reagan (right winger)
Charlton Heston (president of NRA)
etc.
Edited to add: While this does not bother me, I was wondering if there are people who feel this this way. Notice I am referring to ideoligies and not their talent / IQ / looks , so please no "I refuse to watch (place name here) movies because they can't (act / direct / etc.)" or "I refuse to watch (place name here) movies because they are (stupid / ugly / etc.)"

Even though I dislike some actors political views and I often feel they're not artists but rather activists or spokesmen (ie, they don't speak through their art but rather through press releases and demonstrations) I'll still see some of their movies if there is good word of mouth.

There is NO actor/artist that I won't watch b/c of their beliefs. However there are MANY actors/artists that I will not contribute one little penny towards any of their work b/c of their in your face beliefs. For instance, I will NEVER rent, go to see, or anything that involves me paying to see movies with Clooney, Sarandon, robbins, Penn or any of those crusaders for views I don't believe in. But if a friend of mine has a DVD of a movie of their's that I want to see, I will borrow it. I know it makes no sense to most, & I wish I wasn't that way, but I can't help it. It's how I am.

I agree, none.
If I stopped watching Hollywood movies due to ideology I would have to stop watching 99% of the product due to Hollywood's Left leanings.
However, I did have a really hard time buying my 1st(and last) RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE cd. The group was just to out there (socialists) for me and the same goes for Audioslave.

I'll WATCH things with Charlton Heston, but I won't BUY anything with him just because I don't want one single of penny of my money to reach his (not yet cold and dead but one can dream) hand.

I will not stop myself from seeing a particular actor because I disagree with his/her beliefs. I will, however, not see a movie where the story revolves around idealogies I totally disagree with. (John Q, some other crap that's not coming to mind right now)

I don't have a problem watching movies staring idiots who think their politics matter to people. I do have a problem with Susan Sarandon though. After seeing her face and hearing her screech all over the news leading up to and during the war, I find it hard to suspend my belief enough to watch her in a movie. An actor's job is make us believe they actually are the character they are playing. If their "real self" intrudes too much into our lives it makes it harder to do.
That said the only entertainer I might "boycott" is Polanski because he is a convicted criminal and needs to be in prison.

No. I could easily watch a double feature of, say, Klute and True Grit, for example.
I think shutting out input from people with whom you disagree is indicative of a lack of confidence in your own beliefs.

I agree about shutting out input, but that doesn't really include movies starring people that you don't agree politically with. Being a liberal, it's pretty easy to not support conservatives, etc in Hollywood without even trying. So the conservative creative braintrust has Arnold, Bruce Willis, Reagan, and Heston. Sort of says something itself, doesn't it?

There are many conservatives in Hollywood that don't broadcast that point very much, so what do you do about people of whose ideology you are ignorant?
