Post them in Spoilers & please explain what was good about it, I could have wrote what you posted & I haven't seen the movie. Also what were the cameos in the movie? Which fight was the best?

How can you really review a film based on half of it?

Before making unwarrented "shill" accusations, I suggest that you do a search on Sheky's previous posts in this forum.

Shill or not, it certainly beats AICN's "review":
Harry, I just got back from a test screening of Kill Bill held at the Landmark Theater in Boston hosted by the man himself, Quentin Tarantino. I need time to properly absorb it, but I shall write my review in a few hours and send it to you. In summary:

f**king wow.

Cheers,

Peeshypunk
I don't know why I even bother going to that site. It's like a trainwreck. I'm repulsed, yet I can't avert my eyes.

I’m w/ Groucho. What’s with the trend of labeling new members who post positive comments about a movie as shills? Some of you might want to look back at your first few posts. ;-)

They are too paranoid and convinced the movie will be a complete diaster...Label them as studio marketers and wa-la! It's all good!

Please don't cry Shill in a crowded forum. If you feel someone is shilling for a film then report the post to a moderator and we'll look in to it.

What a bunch of tools. Do some of you THINK before you post?

Anyway Sheky, did the movie at least feel like a complete part? I'm still pissed that I paid $8 to watch a 2.5 hour commerical for Matrix Revolutions earlier this year.. so I'm in the group that's a little on edge about this whole splitting idea.

So they did split the movie into 2? Wow that sucks. I read the script and wasn't impressed so I'm not hyping up for this one. I'll see it cause Madsen is in it though.

exactly. yes the guy is a cool new member, but you are also forgetting other traits.. the sign up date. The guy signed up in Apirl. if it was really a shill, you would have a closer date and the text would be noticebale a mile away like "wow guys, You really need to go see this movie blah blah blah"

know your enemy before you go on a witch hunt.

I didn't say anything about the guy being a "shill" I wouldn't go that far unless a few days go by & he hasn't posted back, & politely asked him some questions. But I have to say I don't understand post like his. I saw Jersey Girl about a month ago, & I posted a thread about the movie & explained things in spoilers & answered questions in spoilers. This guy took the time to start a new thread & made posts that any one of us could have made without seeing the movie.

And what is wrong with somebody calling the guy a "shill" anyway, it's not a bad word. Big deal, if he is not a "shill" all he has to do is post about the movie & then the name callers look like fools. If he is then end of subject, why does there need to be a warning about it? If he comes back & posts that he is upset by the comment then I could understand, but people were just voicing some opinions, & for the most part they are all tounge in cheek posts. It seems a little much to warn somebody over nothing.

No I'm no PR guy or shill. Next time just alert the moderator and they can look up the IP domain if it is an issue. I was intentionally light on details and I'm not going to post a review since I am convinced the less someone knows about the movie the better. It's an experience. The more I think about it the more I like it and can't wait to see it again, let alone Vol 2.

It's light on plot and heavy on action so not being impressed with the screenplay is not surprising.
Spoiler:
Madsen is only in it for about 30 seconds.

You will most likely be disappointed with the splitting then. It feels like 1/2 a movie but I think that 3 hours+ would be way too much for the average person and I'm pretty sure that chopping it down to 2 hours+ would have destroyed it. I'll bet that some theaters will show Vol 1 and 2 together after Vol 2 is out for a while so you might want to wait to see if happens if it bothers you so much.

Yes, it is very violent and it ranges from being quite disturbing to comical.

thanks for your comments on the film. I can't wait. How long will the window be from the release of one part and the other?

do they end the movie at an odd part? Also on the violence, is it nc17 violence where they might have to trim it here and there to get it to an R.

Tom Banjo, that review happens to be written by a close personal friend of mine, who has since posted a more comprehensive summary. Though he's no Pauline Kael, I generally trust his judgement on movies very strongly.
