The Kevin Costner Appreciation Thread

An open canvas for people to wax lyrical about the great man.

Thought i'd include a poll about what your favourite Costner movie is too... (sorry if I left out your favourite, i'm only permitted 10, feel free to chastise me below)

My top 3:

Dances With Wolves
JFK
A Perfect World

I really enjoyed Waterworld. It wasn't Lawrence of Arabia or anything but I thought it was a great adventure flick. Hell, I even taped the extended edition when it was on SciFi earlier this year.

I love every movie on this list...it was really hard to vote (I decided on Field of Dreams)...but I agree with an above poster, WATERWORLD is on my top 5 worst movies of all time list.

Costner is awesome. Dances With Wolves is my favorite movie.

Although Waterworld isn't his best I do actually like it.

But when will we ever get Fandango on dvd!!!??!?!?

Not sure if anyone else got the joke, but I did.

I don't think much of Kevin Costner as an actor at all, but there were a couple of decent flicks.

Silverado - Not a Costner-starring movie, but okay.
A Perfect World - Probably his best performance.
The Bodyguard - Yes, I liked it.
No Way Out

Robin Hood - Terrible

Never saw
Dances With Wolves
JFK
Wyatt Earp

All the others in this poll: Feh.

Honk!

I don't like Kevin Costner nor his movies. That being said, I thought Robin Hood was ok.

Some good ones on that list. My two favorites are probably The Untouchables and Bull Durham.

Field of Dreams for me. Perhaps it wasn't his best performance of all his movies, but it was his best movie overall.

The Untouchables and 13 Days were great. Not withstanding the presence of KC

JFK, I love this film. the end courtroom scene is amazing.
I also happen to like Revenge and I believe I'm one of the only people whi like 3000 miles to graceland.
And I must add that waterworld is not that bad, the first attack on the atoll is well done.

Favorite is Bull Durham with Untouchables and Dances with Wolves close seconds. His performance in A Perfect World was pretty good too.

I liked the Postman - like the genre - post apocalyptic visions. the novel by david brin was also pretty cool.
