I dunno. I'm gonna see it this weekend. Unlike everyone else, I don't get the Avengers vibe from the trailer.
the local paper gave it ***1/2 out of 4.

***1/2 out of 4 sounds good. What did they have to say about the film in order to give it such a favorable score?

I was bold enough to see this today. No critic review has ever stop me from seeing something.
I don't want to rewrite a review of it again, I did it twice already-just go to the thread that's says "LXG: Thoughts or reviews"=if you care too.
I thought it was good, but not extraordinary. Illogical situations killed some of the script, which was just average at that, but it was certainly fun. I think Moore fans will dismiss it, but non-fans will like it.
A "B-" in my book, enough to warrant a dvd purchase. Oh, by the way I haven't ever read the comic.
Who cares what critics say; I see what I want when I want.

here who are ready to flame anything that isn't exactly like what they've read will tell me I am insane. How many of you who love the graphic novel have ever gone back to look at the ORIGINAL source material? IF you have not, maybe you should not bitch and moan so much about a piece of work being adapted poorly.
Sorry if that sounds harsh, but it is a summer popcorn flick, not Citizen Kane. And it is much better than From Justin to Kelly...

edited to add: and yes, I will buy this on DVD when it comes out.
