The best new movie I've seen this summer was The Tracker, from Australia. And I doubt it will see any proper release in the States.

I persoanlly try to avoid films I think will stink, but sometimes poop happens. It really hasn't been an amazing summer, just average.
The best: X2 and T3.
Worst: none. But of this year, I'll say Core.

I think all the movies have lived up to their respective expectations. So far I'm not disappointed with any of the movies I've seen: Matrix Reloaded, Bruce Almighty, X2, Hulk, Finding Nemo.

If it did, it did. Going through my list, Phone Booth seemed an appropiate cutoff point, hence the parenthetical. That and the fact that it was 50 degrees at the end of May may have thrown off my seasonal perception . . .

OK... i say HULK and LEGALLY BLONDE 2... LB2 has got to be the WORST piece of crap i have ever seen (went with someone on a date, so dont ask why i went) I HATE THAT MOVIE. my brain is beating the crap out of me right now for making it sit through that. now i have to go throw up from that beating.

Dumb and Dumberer. The only thing that kept me from slitting my own throat in the theater was the fantastic cameo apperance of Bob Saget.
If Hulk had a cameo by Bob Saget, it wouldn't be the 2nd worst film of the summer. It might be the 3rd.

Of the summer movies I've seen (Hulk, Bruce Almighty, CA2, Matrix, X2, Finding Nemo)--Bruce Almighty was the worst.

Of the movies I saw this summer, this is the order (top being better):
X2 <-->T3 (not sure which one I liked better)
Matrix: Reloaded
Finding Nemo
Hulk
May still see on the big screen:
28 Days
Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle
Didn't see (on purpose, DVD rental):
2 Fast 2 Furious (I liked the first movie.)
Bruce Almighty
Legally Blonde 2
Dumb and Dumberer (just to see how bad it was)

Matrix: Reloaded
Finding Nemo
Hulk

I was trying to say that the Chicago weather in May was just as, if not colder, than in April. There was no Spring here so the end of winter became the beginning of the Summer. So looking back I lumped Phone Booth and Identity (released at the end of April) in with X2 (out on May 2).
So sue me. It doesn't change the fact that Bruce Almighty is a steaming pile, second only to The Recruit as the worst American film I've seen this year.

"Alex and Emma" is an absolute turd of a film. Luke Wilson - leading man material -hah! No chemistry, nothing was remotely funny. utterly predictable - what a waste of time and money.

This thread is not the worse movie you have seen, it is the worse movie out this Summer.

There are so many contenders for worst movie of the summer that I've come to the conclusion that 2003 is the worst ever summer for movies.

to all who have spouted your displeasure over "Hulk" can you describe as to why it's bad. From the few reviews I have read, one flaw is that the film is a tad too long.
Other than that, what are some of the other flaws of this film. I really have no intention of spending even 6 dollars at matinee price to see this movie, and will probably just wait for it arrive on video before subjecting myself to this.
