But I do disagree with the "movie is so bad, I can't help but watch it" theory. There are tons of movies that are so bad, that one likes them. But why would you watch a movie just because it's bad. Unless, you actually like it, which is different. And then if you like it, is it really that bad?
I do not like CA. It is really that bad. But I will see the second one. Call it morbid curiosity. You are welcome to have a bone with it. I guess I'm just different than you.

All I am asking is that you not tell me that I have an elitist attitude or that think I am above certain things. Neither of these are true.

I did not tell you anything, I don't even know you. I will say, & I don't mean this as an attack on you, but I don't buy it. Why on earth would anyone go see a movie that they consider "really bad". If makes NO sense, & no matter how you look at it, it makes you a hypocrite. I'm probably wrong, but anyone that does this, likes the movie on the inside, but b/c it's such a dumb movie, for whatever reason, they have to present themselves as "not liking the movie". Not to mention the fact, that if you truly think it is a "really bad movie", by seeing it you are just supporting these movies being made. I hate Tom hanks, but I'm sure as hell not going to support any movie he is in or post in a thread about Tom Hanks as the subject. And there are tons of movies out there that you claim to think are "really bad", do you see every single movie you think is really bad? Probably not, yet you are seeing CA2, so there must be something in it you like, making it not that bad, & don't see the hot girls, you can rent porn or watch TV or countless other ways just to see hot girls.

I mean, does anyone out there agree with me? How on earth can people trash a movie, say it's it's "really bad" , "everything that is wrong with movies", yet go see the thing. Root canal is really bad, I'm sure not going to go have root canal done, romance novels to me are really bad, I'm sure not going to read one just for curiosity, From Justine to Kelly is really bad, so why on earth would I want to sit through a really bad movie, it just doesn't make any sense. . . . unless of coarse. . . . . the person actually likes it but won't admit it.

Saw it. Loved it. If you liked the first one, seeing this is a no-brainer (in many ways )

Enjoyed it. A little less than I liked the first one but Cameron Diaz made the flick for me. Especially in the CSI-Mullet scene

And about the discussion: People that pay to see movies they know they are going to hate are masochistic and weird. IMHO anyway.

I caught this last night and that it was just ok. It's gonna have to be really cheap for me to pick it up on DVD.

Did anyone else notice the odd halo-ing effect around the actors during action scenes? It almost looked like really bad edge enhancement which I know is impossible with film unless its from the original effects process. It seemed as though there was always bright white lines around the actors, especially in alot of the outdoor, daylight CGI sequences. I thought it looked jarring to say the least.

Can't agree. I end up seeing quite a few movies that I do not think will be good. Why? Lot's of reasons. Sometimes it's payback for dragging a friend to a movie they did not want to see...sometimes it's just curiosity...sometimes reviews/word of mouth draws me in against my better judgment...and also because I've been wrong about movies in the past-- I occasionally end up liking a flick I thought would suck. Face it; people are different. Just because you don't do something, doesn't mean others don't.

As to CA, I ended up seeing it because a friend “made” me go. I didn’t expect to like it and I didn’t, though I admit I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Big deal. There are worse ways to spend 90 minutes.

alright my problems, can we have any more slow motion matrix ripoffs? i counted like 5 or 6 in the first half hour.
bernie mac, while funny at times, is no match to bill murray. (why did he quit)
what makes this TV-MA-LV anyways? if its for the 2 blood spurts from characters during fight scenes, then the mpaa is nuts. Raiders, had quite a few blood spurts and its PG???
