Charlies Angels:Full Throttle-who's going?
Figured since the new way of looking at summer movies is to have a $100 million+ flick every week, might as well start talk about the new one since Hulk is now old news.
I was very skeptical of the first one until I went to see it to have something to do on a Saturday night. Upon seeing that it didn't take itself too seriously and was more spoof than action, I really became a fan.
I do not own the DVD as I am waiting for a two-pack of it and the sequel, which I am sure will arrive in time for the holidays.
Anyway, I look forward to the sequel and really think that all the women are hot, even though Lucy Liu is very hit and miss. Anyone else here a hopeless horndog?

I am a big horndog (although Barrymore is revolting & Diaz looks ugly sometimes) I LOOOOVE Lucy Liu (& I love the fact that everyone hates her), but I will probably wait for rental on this one. I got the Superbit DVD with the free ticket in it, but I'll give that to my girlfriend, she can go see it with her friends while I go see 28 Days Later next weekend.

I did enjoy the first Charlies Angels movie. It was a fun little action film, and Full Trottle looks to be even bigger, so I'll go see it. And yes all the women are hot.

I would see 28 Days Later before CA:FT. I might take in the zombie flick first and then CA later as it would be a light hearted movie to go to after the heavy nature of 28 Days.

Here are some observations that dumbassandthefag.com made:
On Cameron Diaz:
"OK, if you break down the science of Diaz, you’ll notice that other than her enormous schnozz, she’s basically impossible to tell apart from any other boring chick trying to make her way in, as ol’ Darryl Zanuck used to say, the motion picture bizz-ness...I’m sure Diaz is too stupid to even realize that her handlers are molesting her carriage into a hideous she-beast...and when they’ve jetted to Santo Domingo with all the cash and Diaz is left high, dry, old, and unwanted, she’s gonna be mighty unhappy that she oxidized her intestinal tract on the advice of her fashion consultant saying it was absoutely to-die-for important she fit into whatever piece of revealing Versache or Gaultier lined up for yet another Academy Awards. Only vaguely, though. I can’t feel too bad about someone who willingly lets their skin get blanched and joins the Dachau & Auschwitz Recreation Society all for the sake of some vaguely fleeting fame that’ll never reach the proportions they want, and never satisfy the hollow and shallow needs their utterly flawed upbringing instilled."
On Lucy Liu:
"OK, I suppose there are worlds of asian fetishists out there who are just enthralled with the idea of seeing one fine piece of asian ass up there on the silver screen instead of a 4” by 3” Windows Media Player window. And even if it means the asian snatch won’t be eating s**t or vomiting on another piece of Asian snatch, at least it’ll still be some snatch! Right? Right!...This snatch has a lazy eye! I don’t know how anyone could still like the snatch after they discover a serious f***ing defect in the hole’s facial structure, but my guess is that you’re all just dogs out for any p**sy labeled ASIAN. It could be 4’1”, covered in s**t, and full of syphilis, and you’d still...jerk yourselves insane over some asian snatch, but I’m telling you, this snatch is deformed. And, as Bill Murray said on-set, she has absolutely Zero comedic timing."
On Drew Barrymore:
"Ah, Drew, everyone’s favorite white trash f**k toy fantasy. Anyway, Drew has the ignominy of not just starring in this movie, but also being one of its producers as well. Lord save her from the scum pits of hell where she will inevitably burn...Drew’s such an easy target, and so totally trashy, and her mom is such a frightening thing both in the media and in person, that I can’t even bother making fun of her. She’s fat. She’s hideous. She looks like the white trash down the street because she was the white trash down the street."
On the movie:
"Don’t kid yourself, everything about this hunk of s**t, excepting its $92m budget, screams television: the source material, the use of television talent, and a music video director all break it down to a level of unreality where you spend the first 20 or so minutes vaguely amused by how wretched the experience turned out...McG, works in stupid ways, and instead of a total smut fest like I was expecting, I ended up watching the Disney version of an T&A film."

I really had no interest in seeing the firt one, but the film won me over and I became a huge fan.
There was a thin line between camp and outright trash and I think they stradled it fine in the first one. But just from what I've seen in the trailer, this movie has become bloated, they took what was fun about the first and threw more in and made it more ridiculous....and they may have blown past the line into bad.

i refuse to watch it. I refused to watch the first one in the theaters and on DVD. friends have tried to get me to watch the first one and will prolly try to get me to watch the second but in the end i will say no.
heh, this is similar to my refusal to watch any disney movie for over 6 years (and im only 20) but then i finally watched Monster Inc a year ago on DVD and i really liked it. I plan to watch Finding Nemo, Pixar is alright in my book.

I cant believe anyone in the civilized world would pay to see a Charlies Angels movie. I bet all the Jenny Jones, Ricky Lake and Montell Williams audience members well be all waiting in long lines on opening night.

Oh, how the hypocrits come out, when they get a chance to show message board strangers how elitist their tastes are. I cannot for the life of me, understand why people post in threads about movies they claim to "have no interest in". If I have no interest in a movie, I don't even look at the thread, but we all know every person in here that is bashing this movie will end up seeing it, & probably even buying the DVD. But if it makes you feel intelligent & sophisticated to bash a mindless movie on an anonymous message board, go get your jollies.

I'll see it. I don't get all the hate for the first one. It was an alright movie. Bernie Mac should be funny in it and Demi Moore as an angel turned bad is an interesting storyline. It probably won't be anything special, but it should be an decent two hours the first time through.
