I'm sure Michael Bay thought it was the coolest thing in the world to have their faces transform as well so he ran with it and made sure that every square inch had something transform on it. This is why most of the robots look nothing like their transformed modes and more like waking junkyards.

That interview really has me pessimistic. Anytime someone says "he's not tainting it, he's modernizing it and re-creating it for current audiences!" that means trouble. Look at what happened with Miami Vice, and that was with the original creator at the helm for Pete's sake.

I stopped reading before I got halfway thru that interview. It's quite obvious the kid has no idea what he's talking about.

Yay! Let's take every reason someone would want to see a live action Transformers movie and throw it in the toilet!

Oh and Miami Vice(the movie) kicked ass.

Remember that this is a "coming of age" story and having faces gives the robots a more human feel and this allows the audience to really feel the emotions that the robots have.

LOL

LOL
I remember one time when I was 7 and this old crappy car was in my driveway and I said "This car is ugly!" and then the car said "Hey you ain't so great yourself!" and transformed into a robot and flew off. It made me think long and hard about the emotional impact of my actions on the robot.

I hope there is something like that in this movie so it will be easier to relate to.

I think I'm going to throw up.....

Designs for Megatron from the movie....

That...that's just.....hideous.

I can handle that he's a jet (He still should be a gun, parents organizations be damned.) But if this turns out to be for real.....UGH!!! What the hell is up with the overcomplicated, techie bullshit? That's just a garbled mess of a CGI reject.

I'm completely disgusted now

*goes to watch the animated Transformers: The Movie to restore faith in humanity*

Nah, I say it still looks as bad as it did in the other photo, if not worse.

You're right. After looking at it for awhile and thinking that this piece of turd is supposed to be Bumblebee just pisses me off. I hate this "skeletal" frame bullshit.

From the interview that was posted earlier on the page...

I've seen a lot, talked to many people involved with the movie and people are excited about this movie. Believe it or not, I'm still not convinced this is the TRANSFORMERS movie fans want to see, but I am convinced it'll be a helluva fun Michael Bay actioneer. People have asked me why I didn't demand Bay's head in person for the Megatron image. I agree, the design of Megatron is pretty bad. However, in my own experience of seeing the art before shooting began on this film... well, lots of designs I saw there have changed, primarily Optimus. The image of Megatron that leaked doesn't have a Michael Bay Approved stamp in the bottom right, but a Work In Progress, so I couldn't get all worked up about it knowing it could quite possibly be old news. I know it doesn't look like the piece of Megatron I saw in the production art in Bay's office.

Is that a license plate over his crotch? Looks like there's going to be some serious part-spinning during the tranformation process.

Yep. My hopes have been dashed to the ground repeatedly.

The Mods seriously need to remove "sweet!!" from the thread title. Although if they did that since it is a misrepresentation, they'd have to remove "Transformers" as well since none of these characters ever appeared on any show I watched.

Yeah, I think the title "NEW LIVE ACTION!!!" would sufficiently describe this nightmare as far as anyone should care.
