From The Playlist:
Maggie Cheung has evidently been cast as Madame Mimieux.....Looks like Samuel L. Jackson has weaseled his way into the film as the narrator who's present only in a few spots (beginning page 24), but mostly pops up at random time in the script to add some context and background info.

There's actually some gun battles in it?

But I'm assuming this might be for a montage sequence.

I am really hoping this will turn out well. Quentin has been getting a bit over-indulgent recently with the bloated Death Proof and some excesses in Kill Bill. If he gets an editor that can actually get him to cut down his films he may return to glory. Death Proof showed that Quentin was too in love with his own writing to edit his piece down to sustain itself outside the two action scenes. Kill Bill had several parts in it that seem like filler to pad out the fact that he wanted 2 separate films.
So here's hoping he can streamline this film in service of the narrative and 1) integrate his dialog rather than holding everything up so we can admire it 2) avoid having superfluous scenes just because he likes a particular actor and wants showcase them on screen longer.

Actually, this is a movie within the movie.
One of the nazis is an actor and this is one of the films he's supposed to be in.

It still isn't 100% confirmed. If it doesn't go through, Tarantino can still use Morricone samples as he's done in Kill Bill & Death Proof.

It's not Kill Bill cartoon violence. It's gritty, bloody, and at some points pretty damn gory. As I said earlier, I'd put the violence on the same level as Reservoir Dogs or a Peckinpah film.
