Definitely have to second the vote for Portman and Christensen. Even Jake Lloyd seemed to have more chemistry with her.

But keep in mind this was a long time ago.

In third place... I dunno, maybe Bogart and Bacall in The African Queen? Again, great movie, but I never bought her falling for him, and that dampened my enthusiasm somewhat.

What do you think?
Lauren Bacall was not in The African Queen, you're thinking of Katharine Hepburn.

My vote goes to Hayden & Natalie in AOTC as the worst I have ever seen. What's really weird is that they supposedly dated briefly. Go figure. Also, Tom Cruise & Kelly McGillis never seemed to really gel in Top Gun. But Tarantino's theory about the underlying subtext of the film may answer that one.

I'll add another vote for Hayden and Natalie. Neither the actors or their characters had any chemistry between them.

Dumb, dumb, dumb. I did mean Katherine Hepburn, but "Bogart and Bacall" just came trippingly off my keyboard.

Harrison Ford and Anne Heche in 6 Days, 7 Nights (or something like that). I think this movie was right after she came out of the closet as Ellen's gf.
This would be my #2 pick of all-time after Christensen/Portman in AOTC. Harrison Ford looks like he just wants to throw her off a cliff the whole time (even after their characters supposedly get over their initial frustrations and fall for each other). He kisses her with the same enthusiasm as a Survivor contestant eating a plate of worms. My guess would be that he's thinking about where her mouth has been in relation to Ellen's body.
