Welcome! This thread is entertaining. When I first created it, I thought for sure Static Cling was going to close it. Happy he didn't.

UUhhhhh, it's obvious that people who enjoy bashing Halle's acting hasn't even seen the movie "Monster Ball", if you haven't seen the movie, do yourself a favor and see it. Once you see the movie, you would realize that she really does have acting talent. Halle is one of my top 5 favorite actresses.
IMHO - She is overrated. Monster's Ball was not that great of a movie and her performance was mediocre.

HALLE HEATS UP FEUD WITH HOWIE MANDEL
Forgive and forget? FORGET IT!
It's still a rip-roaring feud between gorgeous Halle Berry -- who's not ready to bury the hatchet -- unless it's in funnyman Howie Mandel's head!! When Halle found out she and Howie were guesting on "The Tonight Show" the same night, she sent word that she would absolutely NOT share the couch with him. The "Monster's Ball" actress is STILL steaming over a crack Howie made more than a year ago when he filled in for Regis Philbin on "Live With Regis & Kathie Lee." When it came time to introduce guest Halle, he quipped that he'd bumped into her backstage and "she just left the scene" -- a reference to her hit-and-run car accident several months earlier. Angry Halle lit into Howie on-camera for dissing her, and he apologized profusely. But time has not healed the wound from the comic's barb and Howie hustled off the "Tonight Show" stage before Halle came out to join Jay Leno.

This thread deserves a periodic bump...

I just rewatched Ocean's Eleven, a movie I like, and I was unpleasantly reminded of how much I despise Julia Roberts in movies. She is a mediocre as an actress, incredibly annoying in interviews ("look, I'm a big star!"), has an (aforementioned) horse face and always plays the strong/sensitive/All-American-good girl/wrongfully persecuted by the men in her life/Oprah-interviewee character. She's the Branson, Missouri of acting, the Celine Dion of acting, the Pontiac Bonneville of acting.

Richard Gere, Kevin Bacon and Ben affleck are the three actors I never get tired of bashing.

Honestly I am not totally sure why Kevin Bacon is so reviled by me, just is, like some gut reaction.

As for actresses, I would have to say Julia Roberts

Makes me shudder just to type that name.

Renee Zelwegger and Kathy Bates are the runner up choices.

I personally hate Lou Diamond Phillips.

Every time I see him its like the film stops and someone shoves a finger deep down my throat.

He absolutely ruined The Big Hit.

Tom Cruise

He just can't act, IMO. With his acting gestures, face expressions and motions he always tries very hard to tell everyone "LOOK-AT-ME-I-AM-AN-ACTOR-AND-I'M-REALLY-TRYING-HERE".

Triggered - Numerous perfomances, esp. Born on the 4th of July & Eyes Wide Shut

Eyes Wide Shut, Jerry Maguire, Vanilla Sky, you name it.

You know, it always makes me laugh when I see people say this . . . half of the people who say it (not implying you . . . just making a general observation) have him as their most prevelant actor (or, at least, one of them) in their Guzzlefish stats.

* Helen Hunt

* Not a SHRED of chemistry with ANY of her co-stars

* What Women Want - who wouldn't have chemisty with Mel Gibson, the woman was deadly boring and totally unsexy

* Destroyed What Women Want and Castaway - she was so bad it took me right out of the movie at the end. I spent the last 15 minutes wondering who she is sleeping with to get that part.

* Ben Affleck

* He cries in EVERY SINGLE movie he is in, except for Good Will Hunting

* I noticed this in Armegeddon and then again in Daredevil, he is getting to be very annoying with all the tears already. My family and I started taking bets on how far into the movie the water works will start.

* Destroyed Armegeddon, Daredevil, and The Sum of All Fears

Barbra (bitch) Streisand. I can't stand her. I refuse to see any movie she is in. She is not a good actress. Also she is just a bitch.

Julia Roberts, so overrated.

Adam Sandler, what a a-hole. He is not funny, neither are his movies.

Rob Scheinder is another a-hole.

How about favorite directors to bash?

Spike Lee, Richard Linklater, Jim (foreign accents are so cute!) Jarmusch, Kevin Smith, etc.

Barbara Streisand
Pauly Shore
Sharon Stone

Barbara (My Nose is as Big as the Alien Mothership in ID4) Streisand seems to have this delusion of being the liberal representative mother of Hollywood. And her movies seem to be about "Hey look, I'm ugly but really incredibly pretty and I get all the guys." Uhh, hello...you really are fugly!!!

Pauly (I have a pubic hairdo and a skinny and drugged-out version of Richard Simmons) Shore. Not funny, druggie, had to hang out with Charlie Sheen in order to get close to being laid.

Sharon (Basic Instinct 2 has to be done in order to save my career) Stone. Ruined Casino due to her overacting (all the screams, yells, crying, boohooing sure fooled the Golden Globes), thought she was a shoo-in for the Oscars, total bitch to work with, blaming Paul Verhoeven of the money shot in Basic Instinct when it was that gave her 30 mins of fame.

Julie Roberts:

She acts like every damn movie she makes is going to be the last great movie ever. Her ego expands to new heights during any interview she's involved with. She made me puke in Oceans Eleven. Remember when Denzel won his oscar? What the hell was she so excited about?

Brad "arm" Pitt & Geroge Clooney:

The two most succesfull idiots in hollywood why? Because they manage to work with above average directors in big budget films based on their looks alone, I've never seen any other pretty boys pull this off so smoothly. They can't act their way out of a wet paper bag. Fight Club - what the hell? It looked like Brad Pitt was filming a vacation from home. Clooney's small bit in the thin red line - good job George, everybody could easily tell you flew in for your bit part and instantly left so you could get back to taking a nap......Oceans Eleven, Andy Garcia must have bitched slapped you at least a dozen times for throwing him off queue.

Russel Crowe you are the same damn person in every movie, a beautiful mind sent me over the top with laughter. Oh and uh, the world doesn't revolve around you Mr. Crowe please accept it.

That is all
