Agreed about Halle Berry. She's the weakest link of the movies. There are a ton of characters you could replace her with. The cool thing about X-men is that there are a ton of characters who have been on the X-men squad, so you could continually switch them out to keep it fresh.

The next time we 'need' to see Storm is, oh, never. Ten years at the earliest...then we can just claim she's too old!

Replace her with Shard...then we can bring ol' Bish into the picture, too!

Gotta have you, too, Nimrod!!!

Ha haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.............

Seriously though, that's good news that Halle Berry won't be returning - she's dead weight in everything she does.

As long as they make money I don't see this comic book phase going away any time soon. I mean they have an almost dizzying number of pre written plotlines

good news on the X3+ because I loved the first and am eagerly awaiting the second.

I second that motion. Even though he is the main character (so to speak) in the first two films, I can see them making a movie just for his character. Just hope its rated R.

But waitaminnit...she won an OSCAR...she's gotta be good!

...right?

Seriously...if they gave Storm some time off, I would NOT mind her coming back as Angela Bassett.

"Do you know what happens to a Toad when it's struck by lightning? The same thing that happens to everything else."

That has to be one of the corniest lines that I have ever heard.

I guess the characters never die. I thought Mystic was killed by Wolverine but she's back in the Sequel. With immortal characters the sequels could go on for a lifetime. I wonder if their powers decrease with age. Could you image a 70 Wolverine? :-)

I don't think we'll be seeing any of the more fantastical villains (Mr. Sinister, Apocalypse, Juggernaut, etc.) for a while. Besides being tough to do, they aren't as likely to be digested by the general public as easily as Magneto, Sabretooth, etc. After the series has become an established franchise (which requires X2 to hit it big), then they may test those waters.

Sounds like the ending for X2 sets up the biggest X story from the Claremont days.

People will hate this idea, but I say if Gambit is brought in, make him a villain (to start at least). He could switch sides eventually, but would never fully gain the trust of the crew.

Oh yeah, Garth from Dark Horizons gave it 4/5 stars

Well, they did show the disguised Mystique being dragged off for medical attention and appearing as Kelly at the end of X1, so it's not like the mysteriously brought her back to life in between films....

Also, Wolverine is supposed to be over 100 years old.

They could rotate X-Men characters around after the first couple of films so we can have different adventures without the actors or audience getting bored of the characters.

I would like to see Apocalypse or Juggernaut in future sequels though.

juggernaut wouldn't be that hard to swallow.

but apocalypse and mr. sinister... i would agree. they're pretty weird characters... much more than regular mutants.

sentinels DEFINITELY need to be in the next film.

Halle Berry bashing is fine. But it isn't as if she wrote the script.

Maybe it is just me, and I admit I have not read many of the comics, but I always thought Harry Connick was a perfect Gambit.

Halle leaving the series is good news indeed. She's just way overrated in my opinion.

True..but a deserving Oscar winner would've been able to pull it off..look at Stallone's career..
