I’m not really sure why they added Sawyer and Gray, but I pissed off a bunch of people in the theater when I saw that Griffin (or some invisible dude) was actually going to be in it (I was quiet after that).

Otherwise, I didn’t get much of the plot from the trailer. I know Kev O’Neil’s art doesn’t really come through on film, but what can you do? Could you imagine trying to do a Nemesis the Warlock or Marshall Law movie? It’s gonna look different.

So, R.588, that was Colossus. I lose the wager. I hope that sparkly, transparent look is just part of the transition and he actually looks like metal when he’s done. Even some sort of dull titanium type finish would be a cool adaptation

loved Kurts voice.
when i heard Cumming was cast in the part it seemed in my mind a perfect fit. i think he'll make a strong impression (if the material is there).

stepping thru the Colossus shot, it looks like metal to me, albeit in that T2 smooth metal way-although they look to be emphasising muscle structrue.
i always remembered the character having metal bands, and i assumed they would show him 'metal up' somewhat similar to the way the batmobile sheathed itself in the first batman movie.
looks like they are going for a more obvious liquid-like wipe.
wonder how much screen time he's gonna get (probably just one or two scenes)

all in all, from the looks of the trailer, what i'm most positive about is that it seems they actually have a story to tell, are advancing the characters, and bringing new material to the table.
everything you can ask for with a sequel and rarely what you get.

Wow, GREAT trailer!! Much much better than the first one (for "X-Men 2" that is). That one was a little dull and I was kind of nervous it wouldn't be nearly as good as the original. But it looks like it could be better.

What's the deal with Rogue being able to kiss Bobby? I heard one theory that he covered his lips with ice so they weren't actually touching. I guess another thought is that she has gained control over her powers. Any thoughts?

I noticed that too...

Ice would explain the lips touching...but what about the tongues?

Hah! That's awesome. Maybe it'll be in the DVD's subtitles. And let's re-introduce John Waters' Smell-O-Vision for the brimstone.

Including Nightcrawler really got me hyped for this sucker.

It's always been difficult to download Quicktime movies off of Apple's website. Like they discourage saving the trailer to your hard drive to keep traffic going to their website. Use the links posted a few posts above.

the trailer actually looks pretty good.

it's nice to see Bryan Singer being more confident in his storytelling in this one.

This is what I wanted the most for this one! (Beside Weapon Alpha, but they'd never do that.)

It's obviously gonna be great, but Sentinels would have been the ultimate icing on the cake.

What I liked about the first X-Men is that it concentrated on telling a story and getting some solid character development with great performances out of its actors. (Well, maybe not James Marsden, but I never liked Cyclops as a character anyway, so he did his job.) X-Men truly was a movie that seldom used FX in place of a story and the few FX they had were there to supplement the story, not BE it.

That said, I have been very impressed with what I have seen thus far about X-2, and it looks like Singer is doing the right thing: jumping right into a story with lots of action to take center stage. This really seems to be what sequels are about. IMO, X-2 is the first REAL X-Men movie, and I really look forward to this one the more I hear about it.

I cannot freaking wait any longer.

I hope they are setting up Colossus for a bigger role in the next X-men (if we are so lucky) just like they did w/ Iceman in the original.

Great news on X-Men Sequels !

Reuters news service talked more about the X2 global release, including quotes from the cast, and this following bit with director Bryan Singer stood out...

"As long as there are stories to tell and they're taken seriously then I think this universe can be explored for decades," [Singer] said.

For their parts, producers Donner and Ralph Winter are already openly talking about the possibilities for an "X3" and even "X4" and "X5." The film leaves a number of potential avenues open for such sequels, and a number of key cast members are already under contract for those films.

But others, like Oscar winner Halle Berry , who plays Storm in the movie, are not. Many expect that Berry, who did little publicity for the film and whose career is surging beyond the world of comic book mutants, will not be back.

"I don't know about Halle," Singer said.

----------------------------------------------------

I'm sure happy not to see Halles annoying face! She brought nothing to X1 and I'm sure X2 will be the same. Now lets get her off the catwomen project! Oh I hate Halle Berry.

I thought the good news was gonna be that there won't be any more Xmen movies...

Seriously though, that's good news that Halle Berry won't be returning - she's dead weight in everything she does.
