Plot of "World of Tomorrow"? (No Spoiler)
I found out about the new in production movie 'World of Tomorrow' with Jude Law and Gwyneth Paltrow only yesterday. It sounds really intriguing. There is a thread on IMDB that says that the film is a "pre-World war 2 Sci-Fi movie". This made me wonder if it was set in New York's 1939 World Fair, which was captioned as "The World of Tomorrow". Does anyone know?

I suppose there's not much talk about this one here. Nonetheless the few tidbits I've read have me really excited to see this one.
Anyone here anything else regarding this film? If it lives up to what they're saying this could be a most incredible film. I know in a separate report the writer director supposedly had created the graphics capabilties to make the movie, so he's in charge of this one across the board.
Nonetheless, if this turns out 1/10th as good as the potential, then kick ass! I love old serial adventures and the old science fiction asthetic, so this could be insanely cool.
Here's a few links to AICN that gives some ideas what the film is about. The third one is a script review...He raves over it...of course it is Harry Knowles but still...his descriptions still have me excited over the prospects.

I heard that the official title for this movie will be "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow" (like "Indiana Jones and..."), and that the studio has given the go ahead to make more movies based on Sky Captain (Jude Law's character). I can't wait for this movie. Aren't we supposed to get a teaser for this right about now?

Real Media 20 Second bit from Extra last nite.
[it runs 1:21, but there's only about 20secs of Sky Captain footage...stop right after that or you'll be subjected to some stupid Osbourne clan shit at the end..]

The blue screen effect goes along with one of the other things the director did (besides writing and directing) which was developing the computer software to create the film. I'm sure one reason is costs, but another seems to be to completely create a visual look that isn't really real. And, I for one, think it looks awesome. Let's hope the movie is good.

I like the style to the flick as well, count me in.
It's like a cartoony film noir sci-fi action/adventure flick, cool.

Hot damn, that looks pretty cool.
I caught shades of "The Rocketeer," which has a visual style I've always loved.
I'm there.
