This movie has been shelved actually for about 2 years. It was made right after Tigerland (2000), shelved cause they knew Farrell was hot and rising so they could release it later for more money, then shelved again for a few months after last fall's sniper shootings.
The movie was shot on digital film in 9 days (likely due to location restraints)

Also, I believe this was shot on 35mm, not digital. They shot the flick in 12 days, partly because of location and also budgetary reasons. The film has a gritty grain to it and some excellent cinematography... with digital we wouldn't get that kind of grain...
I couldn't imagine this flick without Farrell... Jim Carrey and Will Smith were both once atttached to the lead for this flick... that would have been two drastically different flicks....

I thought this movie was pretty good, but could have been done better (as many reviews are saying). There could have been more action and I'm not sure if the style of filming was right for this movie. Unless you are a huge fan of someone in the film, I suggest waiting to rent this one.

I want to echo what some have said....the movie felt longer than 88 minutes. I didn't think it dragged at all, but it did seem longer.
Always nice to see Radha Mitchell on the big screen.

I enjoyed the hell out of it. Unless my theater had too much seperation between speakers which is very possible. (during one of the trailers, the Queens of the Stoneage song did not sound right at all) Kiefer's voice was tough to understand.

Saw this today and thought it was decent. Doesn't quite work all that well on film (would probably have been a better stage play), but was effective enough to recommend it.

I thought this film was pretty good, the film holds your attention well through out the 80 minutes, but as the others say doesn't feel short and I mean that in the best way possible. Colin Farrell as the lead is great, and I also think the camera work and cinematography works well for the film.
My only complaint is

And the tight shoot had to do with other commitments - most of the movie takes place on a set in L.A., not in NYC. So they didn't have to worry about tying-up 53rd and 8th.

I saw it this afternoon and loved it. Joel Schumaker really redeemed himself in my eyes (admittedly, I haven't seen his work since B&R). Colin Farrell was terrrific, probably the best role I've seen him in to-date. As the others said, it felt much longer than 80 minutes and kept me interested the entire time.
Excellent film, definitely see it.

Did it feel longer than 82 minutes to you? I thought it just zipped by and it totally held my attention the entire time - I didn't even begin to drive huge Mack trucks through those plot holes until maybe five minutes after closing Windows Media Playe... I mean, after walking out of the theater.
(Yeah, yeah, I know. The download joke is getting old - no self-respecting film fan would watch a crappy quality download on a tiny monitor rather than go to a decent theatre with surround sound and a big screen anyway).
What was I talking about?
Oh yeah. Phone Booth.

So you know it's a spoiler, and you know you're going to ruin the ending for others (including myself as I have not seen the ending), but you still put it into your post without spoiler tags? How considerate. Also, please refrain from discussing downloaded movies. Next time, use the spoiler tag - it's not that hard - just put spoiler between brackets [ ]. -Blake
