Cool but silly. I think some people thought they were in the wrong movie when it came on. It's definitely not worth paying full movie price just to see......

I liked DreamCatcher. The first part was scary but is went a bit downhill at the end. If they redid the ending I would have liked it a lot more. But still, it was fun.

I just finished the book in time to catch this one on opening night.... I, like many of my fellow DVDTalkers, was extremely disappointed.
However, I enjoyed the book... As far as the movie, I thought it was right on at first, especially the way Jonsey's memory room was introduced. The telepathy aspect of the book couldn't be an easy thing to translate to film, and I thought the film makers did a great job introducing it. For me, the movie went completely down hill when it strayed from the book: right at the scene
After that, it became a cheesy Saturday Matinee.
This story had alot of potential, but to do it any justice, it needed to either be a 3 hour movie or a mini-series.

What were the special powers that each of the four boys gained? I know a couple off the top of my head, but not all. Please spoiler the answer so others won't see them...

If I remember it correctly, the four powers are....
I think that's it- hopefully someone else will be able to expand on that a bit- I've read two books since Dreamcatcher.....

I never read the book, so I can't compare it to the movie, but I thought the movie really stank. The trailers didn't look all that good, but the movie was even worse. And I'm super pissed that I let myself get talked into seeing it a second time (for free). Not only was it a huge waste of my time the first time, but it actually angered me to sit through it a second time.
Seeing the Matrix short a 2nd time was the only redeeming part of the experience.
Oh, and it took a second viewing for me to recognize Donnie Wahlberg, who I really like in the TV show "Boomtown".

This movie was just bad IMHO. it made me want to see "John carpenters the thing" on the big screen again. now thats a movie about men bonding in a cold climate and kicking alien butt.
