I can see your point, but take yourself back to before this movie came out and we didn't know how bad it was (sorry, don't mean to offend any fans out there) Who didn't want to see a movie where aliens and predators duke it out? The idea was sweet and back then the tagline seemed to fit pretty well. Too bad the movie didn't live up to expectations.

With all due respect, if you didn't see AvP's quality level a mile in advance, you weren't paying attention...

Ha ha. Yeah, you're probably right. You gotta admit, though, the idea is cool and if it was done right the movie could have been sweetass.

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade:

"Have the time of your life keeping up with the Joneses". I didn't get it until I was a teenager.

Aliens:

"This time it's war"

Star Trek: Generations

"Two captains. One destiny."

Perhaps, young padawan, perhaps, though I personally have a knee-jerk reaction against any and all of these "vs." movies...it's all about the concept, not the story. I think they've become the clearest, most concise indicator that a franchise has died (or is being killed before its time).

Thank goodness Superman vs. Batman was never made.

I've always been partial to:

The Thing: Man is the warmest place to hide.

The Army of Darkness one is another classic though.

The tagline for "Cowboy Bebop: Knocking on Heaven's Door" is pretty cool too: "They're here to save the planet. But not for free."

I'm not sure whether it should be considered as a good or as a bad tagline, but it certainly is quite memorable (hmm.......which I suppose makes it good):

Beautiful Boxer (Thailand, 2003): "He fights like a man so he can become a woman."

I agree with whoever mentioned the Army of Darkness tagline.

[QUOTE=QuiGonJosh]
In the Mouth of Madness: "Lived any good books lately?"

That movie rocks.

I've always liked the tagline to Strange Days.
"you know you want it"
delivered by Ralph Fiennes. He's so hot in that movie.

Unless I missed it, I can't believe no one said one of my all time favorites (from a horrible movie)....

"Crime is the disease, he's the cure" - Cobra (1986)
