RFAD (no), Traffic (definitely no), maybe CTHD will be remembered.

I think Spy Game is very underrated; ditto for Donnie Brasco.

Some robbed, some underrated:

Raging Bull
GoodFellas ~ Both should have easily won best pic.
Eyes Wide Shut ~ Most people just didn't get it.
Nightwatch ~ Very overlooked film. Predictable but still creepy.
Bulworth ~ One of the great satires ever. Also one of the least talked about.

Of course, your opinion may vary.

X was the actual title for Lee's movie on Malcolm X.

Couldn't agree more on Gattaca. Great great movie.

Also agree with many others, especially Fight Club.

Sliding Doors - people often question Gwyneth's movie-making decisions, but this one was very well done and its very underrated, imo.

The Bourne Identity - this was very under-appreciated last year, one of the top five films of the year, imo.

The 13th Warrior - a very good action/adventure period piece. Antonio Banderas makes a lot of crap, but this movie is often over-looked because he's in it. It was very well put together.

Trainspotting - people on this forum always talk about Requiem for a Dream. I much prefer Danny Boyle's film. It's much, much better, imo.

Go - sometimes it seems that this movie does not get the recognition it deserves. It has all the elements - comedy, action, drama and suspense. Just another excellent film that's often over-looked.

I've seen that!

Dildano himself David Hemmings, a young and sexy Carolyn Seymour and a bunch of subtly unnerving British schoolkids.

My picks are a couple of Atom Egoyan films: Exotica and The Sweet Hereafter

I thought the Bourne Identity got quite a lot of hype last year and did extremely well at the box office, although i personally felt it was overrated.

I agree, It's a complete pacifist piece of S___!

As for Robbed movies: Not only did Woody Allen's Manhatten not win for best cinematography...it wasn't even nominated!

I'll stay on the bandwagon and say "natural born killers" is highly underrated. Maybe not as good as pulp fiction, but I enjoyed the violent atitude that the characters had and all of the filming technieques that Stone used. I saw the R rated cut, and even though most of the extreme violence may be cut out, it was still to me a very violent movie. It was morely the content and not what was actually shown. (kind of like pulp fiction in a way)

No, it wasn't. Look it up at the MPAA site or the IMDB.

If you read the book Bourne Identity, you would be sorely disappointed with the movie. Or at least I was.

Except for the absolutely idiotic decision to film all of the action scenes in the dark, and then with extreme close-ups, so you couldn't tell what the hell was going on in any of them.

The final action scene was shot in the light, except that the entire thing was in slo-mo, lasted about a minute and a half, and lacked any kind of excitement/entertainment.

God I hate that movie...

I prefer Shakespeare In Love to SPR. Take out the first 20 min. of SPR (which are enthralling) and what are you left with? A syrupy, melodrama. Of the flicks nominated that year, my pick would be Elizabeth.
