Poolhall Junkies

Haven't heard any talk about this yet. It's got Christopher Walken and Chaz Palmentari, and it starts tomorrow. Has anyone see it, or is anyone interested in it? I can't tell much from the preview, but it seems to have a Reservoir Dogs feel to it.

It's only opening in 179 theaters, so it's gonna be hard to find. Also, the ads quote Harry "AICN" Knowles, so I don't have my hopes up for this. If done well, it could be a nice little piece like Suicide Kings.

Movie had it's moments (good and bad). There were some corny parts, but Walken was outstanding.

Well, being a former "poolhall junkie" myself, I was pleased to see that this was playing locally. I saw it Friday night, and liked it quite a bit. Harry Knowles' review makes it sound like the coolest movie in years, which it isn't, but it certainly had it's moments - especially every moment with Christopher Walken. That said, it definitely had it's weak spots. I think it's a good movie that could have been great (or a good movie with some great parts).

There are too few pool movies, though, so a good one is always welcome!

this just opened in Toronto...

I thought this movie was great... sure, there were a few very cheesy moments and the plotline is pretty predictable, but the characters are fun and the dialogue is snappy.

Walken is great, and the rest of the cast really makes the movie fun to watch. Some of the pool was frigin' awesome... It's certainly not the greatest movie ever, but I was entertained and had a hell of a time... go check it out.
