Well what i mean by 'realisitic' is in the filmmaking sense. Such as i'm pulled into the film,really interested into whats going on,various emotions running through my body..& it seems 'real' in that aspect then.Basically when the directing is so good.They can get by with anything,no matter how implausible.
Meanwhile i never had that reaction to Platoon.Sure it's probably more accurate.Yet even though i like Stone,the film seemed off & forced in some moments. Thus i feel Salvador was his superior film of that year.It's far better made & very dramatic & punches you in the gut.While Platoon did nothing for me.
