The Bank Dick- W.C Fields.

The comedy is VERY dated. I didn't laugh once.

Another vote for Idiocracy. The movie felt as stupid as the people they are portraying. Every joke felt flat, good try though

Anything Judd Apatow related. Anything Will Ferrell related. Anything Seth Rogen related. (Adam Sandler goes without saying). In fact, pretty much any of the mainstream American comedies that are so popular these days, I just don't find funny at all. Hell, I think Iron Man 3 had more good comedy in it than all of the Will Ferrell and Seth Rogen movies I've ever seen, combined!

I really dig this movie. It falls a bit flat towards the end but I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed this. One of those movies I end up watching whenever I stumble upon it on HBO etc.

Don't get the love for Blazing Saddles. Young Frankenstein, sure. And yes, I love me some Spaceballs.

Wow, you listed some of the greatest comedies ever made, ones that have actual repeat value because they get funnier on repeated viewings (which is such a rarity among comedies).

Interesting. There are nearly no comedies that I like, but those four are on the short list.

I'll add City Lights and Modern Times. Chaplin is the patron saint of good comedians who overreach and fall because they want to make Serious Art.

I once saw a showing of The Gold Rush with the sound off. We loved it. During a reel change, the projectionist apologized to the audience and said that he'd figured out how to turn on the sound, and he did so. After two minutes of hearing that awful soundtrack, the audience voted to turn the sound back off.
