Going tonight with a fellow cow-worker.
Edited to add: The question remains.... should I take a nap or load up on soders?

I'm wondering if I should go tonight .... I have the tickets, but I also have a 20 mile drive and about 2 inches of new ice/freezing rain on the roads. Hmmm.....

From: You have moved into a dark place. It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.
Going tonight - can't wait. I hope a lot of people show up (although not so many that it sells out before I get there).
Should be pretty sweet. I can't remember the last time I was this excited to see a new movie (Phantom Menace, maybe?). And I hadn't even seen the first one until the 4-disc set came out last month...

I'm seeing it at 10:45 pm. Tomorrow night. Took off work the next day to sleep in a little, and mainly, to study for a final thursday evening.
Couldn't see it tonight because I couldn't get out of work tomorrow and I have to be there at 6:45 am. Wanted to catch an earlier showing Wednesday evening, but they were sold out.

Well, obsession and cheapness (heck, I already bought the ticket) wins over safety. Hope I'll get to post reactions (a bit later) tomorrow morning. GB anti-lock brakes.

Boot, I'm from Texarkana and Conway. Coming to Arkansas for the holidays, going to also visit Newport and Enola.
15 minutes until my friend picks me up.

My son is going...and he has school tomorrow morning at 8. I told him the only way was if he slept before hand, so it was a quiet night at home
.
I'll go when it calms down a bit.

Well, I couldn't nap. I twisted and turned and played some F-Zero and Sigur Ros (old and new) and saw 24 and had some chips and coke and then I went out and damn it if it wasn't amazing.

I hope the reviews are solid because I really want this one to surpass FOTR

I just got back from a midnight showing in Maumee, Ohio. They had it on four screens that hold 400+ people and at least three of them were sold out. Some people there were dressed up as elves and I believe I saw an Aragorn too. There was even a guy that had a portable DVD player with FOTR EE playing on it a few rows in front of me before the movie started. Oh yeah, and I can't forget to mention the guy behind me that was telling a girl about "The Battle of Five Armies" which was shown at the beginning of FOTR... Oh well I guess we can't all have our Middle Earth history memorized correctly.
The movie itself was very entertaning. I don't think that the battle of Helms Deep was all that it was hyped up to be though. That still doesn't stop the movie from being one of the best this year, if that is saying anything. Go see it, you won't be disappointed.

Just back from the show in Houston, TX. Roadrunner promotion so I didn't have to pay for a ticket and won a free dinner to a nice restaurant. Oh yeah, and the movie was excellent.

Got back from the biggest auditorium in Chicago west suburbs. Great crowd. Great movie. I was worried but this one I liked even more than the first! I didn't think I'd like it as much considering how much I like the first. Much more interesting story. Not as many dull moments. (Dull moments in the first when they would keep going back to Isengard). . The "slow" moments in this movie simular to the ones in the first. Atleast I thought were more interesting, and fun to watch. More drama, action, and comedy. MUST GO AGAIN!! HELL YES!!

Yup, in my book better than the first. PJ is more confident here, more comfortable with the directing, the movie comes out amazing.

Made it. I'm glad I went because I had a lot of fun. I thought the movie dragged a few times and the cuts from plot to plot a little jarring (but necessary). I enjoyed it, but I will need a few viewings to allow it to seep in. I don't know why, but in these movies there is so much going on that it takes me a while to really digest the story being told.

Four screens, pretty big ones, all sold out AFAIK. Got to sleep at about 5am and woke up at 9. Can't wait to (hopefully) find some friends to go with again tonight. And then probably this weekend with my gf.

Saw the midnight show at Pleasure Island down at Disney. They had their four largest theaters full, in fact they let us in over an hour before to get the theaters filled up in time.
It. Was. Amazing.
