Midnight show at the Edwards 18 out in Mira Mesa, 4 screens all sold out. Good movie, epic battle scenes. Kept me awake all the way until 3:30am.

Now to go see it again when I'm not totally exhausted...

I got about 4 hours of sleep and well it's taken its toll on me. Hopefully I'm not too sleepy when I see it tonight again.

On another note, how big was the crowd at your guys' theater? In the one I went to, 14 out of the 20 houses had midnight screenings and as far as i knkow, all of them were sold out. I found myself thinking, this is going to make insane numbers...

From: You have moved into a dark place. It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.
Are they keeping separate track of midnight numbers, or just "opening weekend" which will be artificially huge since it's opening on a Wednesday.
Still, showing the movie at a special midnight time is a stroke of genius. All of us film-geeks and general LOTR geeks showed up to see it then so we could be at the first screening possible, and it really made an "event" out of the whole thing.
Very slick.
Can't wait a year until ROTK!
