400 Blows vs. Breathless

I have seen these two movies fairly recently
and they are considered to be the two pillars of the French New Wave.

Which movie did you like better? And why?

Grades will be awarded after each posting (hehehe, just kidding)

Breathless, by a mile.

Why? Lots of reasons - Belmondo's cooler than Leaud for starters. But the best way to put it is this way:

Truffaut's direction in 400 Blows represented a major evolution in the development of cinema.

Godard's direction in Breathless represented a major revolution in the development of cinema.

Well put... although I have yet to see Breathless (and I do want to see it desperately).
