Cant wait for the Stifmeister

Poor Tara Reid. Oh well, see what Carson Daly can do for your career.

Spoiler:
The outrageously loveable characters embraced by audiences all over the world in "American Pie" and "American Pie 2" reunite this summer for a very special occasion: "American Wedding". With East Great Falls High now just a memory, the kids have grown into young adults ready to wreak havoc with a new rite of passage - Jim and Michelle are getting married - in a hurry. Jim's grandmother is sick and wants to see Jim walk down the aisle, so they're going for it in two frantic weeks. Stifler plans to be there (bridesmaids!), and more importantly to throw the ultimate bachelor party (strippers!). Finch is all for the hedonistic rituals, but not for letting Stifler steal the maid of honor, who happens to be Michelle's sexy younger sister, Cadence. While everybody else sweats and frets, Jim's Dad is cool as ever, dispensing advice that no one wants to hear and getting ready for one of the best days of his life.

So far the main stars are:
Jason Biggs .... Jim Levinstein
Alyson Hannigan .... Michelle Flaherty
Seann William Scott .... Steve Stifler
Eugene Levy .... Jim's Dad
January Jones .... Michelle's Sister
Thomas Ian Nicholas .... Kevin Myers
Eddie Kaye Thomas .... Paul Finch
John Waldrip .... Harry Houdini

I think it's safe to say you'll see the wedding cake violated this time around.

Well they had kind of reduced roles in AP2 already anyway--esp. Reid and Suvari--so I don't mind their absence. I'll probably see this.

American Wedding

Has anyone seen a trailer for this one yet? For one of the summer's biggest movies I am surprised not even a teaser has been released yet.

One of the summer's biggest movies? I wouldn't lavish such praise on it, though I am really looking forward to it. It had a pretty late start date so its not surprising that footage hasn't surfaced. Plus its coming out at the tail end of the summer.......why try to get people to hear your advertisement when all ears are tuned to X2, Matrix 2 (and all the other big early summer movies) news.

Not really. The series was old after one movie. I loved the first, was disappointed when I heard of a second, and disgusted when I heard of a third.

I thought a lot of the cast was returning? First i heard of it was Alyson Hannigan on some talk show last week and i was sure she said most everyone was back - the only way they'd do it otherwise.....i'll certainly be seeing it.....

the cast that is not returning were funny and had some moments in the first but really served no purpose and made the second drag. I'm glad they are gone. focus on the funny characters. I'm there.

Hear, hear. Stifler was the absolute only good thing about AP2, and he'd be the only reason I would watch American Wedding.

Mostly just the girls aren't coming back. Actually it would be hard to justify their coming back. The story is Jim and Michelle's wedding, so the guys are there as Jim's friends but none of the girls from 1 or 2 were friends with Michelle. Chris Klein had the weakest storyline from 2 anyway, so I don't particularly care that he isn't coming back.

The only two people I thought WEREN'T returning was Chris Klien and Mena Suvari, perhaps Finch isn't returning either, I'm not sure.

I just hope they throw Eugene Levy a bone and bring him back. The poor guy's barely had work lately.

I hope you are being sarcastic. He is just in one of the largest grossing movies this year (Bringing Down The House) and is in the upcoming movie "A Mighty Wind."

Who is returning:
Jason Biggs
Alyson Hannigan
Seann William Scott
Thomas Ian Nicholas
Eddie Kaye Thomas
Eugene Levy
The MILF Guys (the white guy and the funny asian guy on Off Centre )
And a few others...

Eugene Levy said in an interview that the script was better than the one to American Pie 2, so hopefully this will be a step-up than the "tame re-hash" that was the first sequel. He also mentioned if they do make a fourth film and the script is as good as the current one, he would gladly come back again.
