Do crayons float?

RandyC 06-28-03 09:31 PM

You bid on the 900 phone line book???

I was thinking of bidding and then telling him to donate it to Goodwill. Please do not ship it.

Part of me wants to, but it would be so wrong to do so.

 ...the fact that he actually sent a scan of the crayon tips...

RandyC 06-28-03 11:19 PM

Yeah but you could be drownded in that pool! Didn't you read his warning???

kvrdave 06-28-03 11:47 PM

 You guys.

X 06-28-03 11:52 PM

The pool does come blown up as in the picture, right?

RandyC 06-29-03 12:00 AM

And Thank God there is a tape measure across it to verify the size. Oh wait, what does the tape say? How do we know it's not like some miniature tape?

We should keep the crayons away from the pool now that I think about it. They are pointy.

I like to review people's feedback. You learn something (or at least can guess at things). Check out the pool bidder that is outbidding Preacher.

Look at oldest auctions won first. Always a buyer. Gets some high heeled boots. A kickass watch and Harley Davidson flask. Feeling frisky! Then some Lavender Oakley sunglasses. Looking like Penny Lane in "Almost Famous."

But wait..

you can't put a very large fish in it, ya know.

einTier 06-29-03 10:32 AM

We also missed this great philosophy shop auction.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=2641600526

And, this is the second time the typewriter has run.

Preacher 06-29-03 09:21 PM

1 hour & 21 minutes away from the typewriter. Ooh baby.
Just as einTier said, just get some monkeys and let them type.
Where am I going to get monkeys?

einTier 06-29-03 09:30 PM

Typewriter is mine!

I wonder if anyone is going to point the guy to this thread when it's all over. If he has a sense of humor, I'm sure he'd find it quite funny.

On the other hand, if this person is unstable/psycho and an otter wins the auction and reads this thread. He'd have the address of the otter who won.

I have a feeling this person is obsessive/compulsive about many things, ebay being one that he's probably just added to a long list.

I totally agree with this. Leading him to this thread and providing home addresses of the winners is a bit too risky.

Y2K Falcon 06-29-03 11:06 PM

I got the scan of the crayons as well.. Same pic. (and here I thought I was special)...

My original question to seller:

Could you tell me which of the crayons do NOT have a very pointed tip? Hopefully not "burnt siena".
His reply, with pic attached:

I did not notice any called "burnt siena".
I have attached a scan of the tips. I do not know why the bids are so high. I honestly think that the current bids are excessively high.
(same as posted before, adding the burnt siena bit) :(

Y2K Falcon 06-29-03 11:08 PM

BTW...

$6 for a typewriter, $18 for some crayons...

WTF is wrong with you people?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Man, the feel of cold colorless type writer keys compared to a nice pointy crayon with the paper intact?

It's hard to put a price on that kind of thing.
