Murder on the Orient Express gets my vote.

So since we have the attention of Paramount...how about the Indiana Jones Trilogy? ;)

Thank you for taking the time to get consumer input into what titles you give extra treatment to. "Captain Kronos" and all the Hammer titles you have would be wonderful next year. And also, "Four Flies on Grey Velvet" will be a great title...I have the first two titles of that Dario Argento trilogy ("Bird with the Crystal Plumage" and "Cat O' Nine Tails").

Finally, "Looking for Mr. Goodbar" could be something with lots of added features but the Hammer titles are a must, in my opinion. Thanks again, Martin, for allowing us to let you know what we want in our DVDs.

Another vote for Murder on the Orient Express.

I'd like to see FOUL PLAY and MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS "done right" with supplemental features, etc.

However, let me add that I don't think its necessary to have a 2nd disc every time a "special edition" DVD is released. Many titles have truly "special" editions with only one disc -- MGM's great James Bond series, for one, or the Austin Powers discs. Given the capacity of a DVD, a second disc often seems like a waste, or even a gimmick to make the consumer think he/she is getting a better deal ("a two-disc set for the price of one!"). With few exceptions, the 2nd disc doesn't seem necessary.

PS The specs on Paramount's Star Trek II The Wrath of Khan look good.

I'd definitely be interested in SE's of "Foul Play" and the Hammer titles.

Just based on that Paramount list I would have to say don't waste time or money on bonus features for these movies. Just give it a widescreen release and use that Paramount money to spend on SAT. NITE FEVER, FLASHDANCE, GREASE, etc. bonus features. Thanks for asking!

I vote for FOUR FLIES and Kronos

A DVD of the Jerry Lewis THE LADIES MAN should definitely incorporate some of the outtakes which exist and have been included on recent Lewis documentaries. And what about a director's commentary by Lewis, if he would be willing? I was disappointed that your NUTTY PROFESSOR DVD was missing such extras.

As far as other possible DVD releases are concerning, when we we be seeing Sergio Leone's ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST?

Alright, where are you all? I would personally love to see his films out on DVD in as much splendor as possible.

I would allocate some funds to restoring this film as much as possible. Next I would add a commentary from a film historian/expert: I think it is important to try to explain the importance of silent films (visual story-telling) and the limits of technology of the time to modern audiences. It might even be interesting to commission a new score. I would agree that the deleted footage mentioned earlier should be included as an extra feature.

J. Lewis and Martin Scorsese
 

Martin Scorsese is a huge Jerry Lewis fan. Perhaps you could get Lewis and Scorsese to do an audio commentary together. Marty's involvement would bring a lot of new fans to Jerry's movies.

I'd be happy with Day of the Locust, all Jerry Lewis and Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis movies, Wings, Darling Lili, all Elvis, and most of all Sam Fuller's great White Dog.

"If" it is
 

For maximum impact, I'll vote for only one from the current list... Lindsay Anderson's "If". (Although please take the praise for "O Lucky Man" below as a serious request that it be added to the line-up and given the most special possible treatment.)

"If" is a brilliant film, by a brilliant director. It was the first of three films very loosely related by Malcolm McDowell's characters: "If", "O Lucky Man", and "Britannia Hospital". "If" really set the tone and the bar for over-the-top, counter-culture, youth-revolution films. It deserves proper treatment for its deservedly elevated place in film history.

"O Lucky Man" may be the best film ever made. It's a remarkably wide-ranging odyssey that makes even Odysseus seem like a homebody. It is wonderfully, deeply satirical and insightful at the same time, with the greatest fates-driven, every-man character ever portrayed on page, stage, or screen. It has one of the greatest casts ever assembled for a British (or any other) film, and an absolutely brilliant score by Alan Price. Malcolm McDowell was perfect, and I've been in love with Helen Mirren ever since. It is one of the few films I've returned to see in the theater multiple times during its first run. In fact, despite its three hour length, I sat through it twice in a row on one of those return viewings. I have purchased "O Lucky Man" on videocassette and laserdisc, and will happily purchase it again when it is finally released on DVD.

I haven't seen "Britannia Hospital" in a long while, though I've just ordered it and intend to watch it soon. My memory says it was the weakest of the three films, but, oddly, is the only one out on DVD.

Above all, WINGS! Next year is the 75th anniversary of it's win for the first Best Picture Oscar and a nice clean restored print would be great!

I dont know, I would much rather see a Special Edition of Foul Play or Grease or Murder on the Orient Express then see, a cut scene from a Special Edition of a Friday the 13th. What do you want, a commentary from Kane Hodder ?
