Probably. If I were the D-Backs I'd be trying to see as many pitches as possible tonight and make Clemens work. If the Yanks don't pull too far out in front, they can get a big pitch count for Clemens. They don't have a great chance of winning (but they do have a chance), but they should try to get something out of it.

Why wasn't Paul O'Niel wearing a FDNY or NYPD hat? All the other Yankees were.

Based on hats, coats and assorted crap as I carved my way through NYC today, definitely the World Series.

Do you think Roger Clemens will be throwing any splintered bats in this World Series?

I hope he gets shelled.

first two batters reach base.. one on an error, one on a walk

one of the batters was picked off..

it could be a long night for clemens if he has to throw alot of pitches early

one runner picked off.. one runner caught trying to steal

17 pitches.. if they wanted to run up his pitch count, they really should have been safer on the bases..

Is there any type of "internet streaming video feed"?

Don't feel like going downstairs, and my wireless laptop isn't quite set up yet...

You'd think so. Of course, they might not be thinking about it. That was just this man's opinion. I'm not a baseball manager, I just play one on the internet.

Insult?

If I wanted to insult the guy, I'd go into a full diatribe on how he thought the splintered bat was actually a ball. In which case, he should have been throwing the splintered bat to first base. And I would also go into his headhunting history.

Personally, I don't like the guy. And I want to see the Yankees lose. It's time for another team to buy the World Series Championship.

well.. both teams got a couple runners on base

and both came up empty.. scoreless after 1

oh yea.. one thing that has bothered me..

why is clemens the game 3 starter?? hasnt he been the yankee ace all season long.. so why hold him until game 3? dont like his chance against schilling or johnson?
sure, the lets him play in the first game in new york.. but that limits him to at most 2 appearances

(1) hamstring injury ... game 3 means more rest since last time out ...
(2) they don't want him to bat ... added pressure (aka he's a *****) ...
