Where'd you hear that Stalker was in the works? I know RusCiCo has a version coming out later this year (supposedly), but I haven't heard any news about an R1 version (Criterion said they were working on it but quickly reversed themselves).

Oh yes, and Anchor Bay has The Goalie's Anxiety at the Penalty Kick in the works (along with a number of other Wenders films).

The RusCico version is the one I was talking about. I think it's an all-region.

I've got it and the subtitles are removable. But the overall picture and sound quality is about that of any old VHS version. I'd hold out for a remastered (and un-edited) U.S. version, which is sure to come sooner or later.
