I ordered a dvd on Ebay from from a very reputable seller located in South Korea, which was shipped via Korea Post with a tracking number. Item was shipped on January 14, 2013 and the tracking notice keeps saying it's in transit and being held at the International Post Office in Incheon. Anyone know why a package would be held for so long? In the past I've gotten shipments within 10-12 days. I know the Chinese New Year is on Jan.23-24, would this put a hold on the post office processing any overseas shipments?

Nope, it has yet to pass customs at the International Airport. This is the first time I've waited more than three weeks for a package to clear from China. My Ebay seller is willing to compensate me should the package never arrive, so I'm not losing sleep over it but...still would like package to arrive by mid-February.

That's too bad...an annoyance for sure...at least you purchased it from an understanding seller, so that is good. Generally, delayed international orders turn up eventually...hope yours finds its way sooner rather than even later than it has been. I'm expecting some stuff from Korea to ship soon...let's see how that goes.

I finally got my package from Korea Post. Well, that was a record in slow shipping! Well, at least it finally arrived in good condition! :-)

Bah, that's nothing! I ordered some Criterions from Barnes & Noble.com in August of 2009. Still hasn't arrived...

I didn't know they had a Barnes & Noble in Korea...just kidding. Yeah, even domestically one can get shafted depending on either the mail system or the retailer in question.
