Hello. fellows.
This is my first post in DVDtalk, and I'm pleased to escape lurkers, at last.

Have you guys noticed that there are some mad
streams on Out of Prints DVDs?

You know, DVD is very yough media that carries movie, but I see there are some movies already on Out-Of-Print lists.

Chushingura (starred by Toshiro Mifune) DVD is a good example. well.. once it became out of print and disappeard from DVDexpress's lost, the price of Chushingura DVD is on $50-70 bucks. And Salo DVD is selling over $200. Crazy!

Does sombody know the shop still sell this titles?

From time to time there are threads in the "big" bargain forum when someone spotted some OOP titles somewehere. I got mine luckily before they went OOP, but you can get them at ebay, but expect to pay high prices. The best to do is wait, as sometime in the not so distant future those titles will be re-released (maybe by another distributor).

Welcome to the forum!!! You are probably better off trying to find some of these titles at stores who sell used dvds or waiting for the reissue....ebay may have them but you will be in a bidding war with others who seem not to care too much about price. Good Luck!!!

Thank you very much for your warmful greeting, DVD Talkers.
It makes me feel as if I'm in my hometown.

I just found some negative informations on Salo. (You know, they are Sour Grapes for me)
The running time of Salo in America was 115 min. while its running time in Japan was 117 min. Though I could not check the running time of Salo Criterion DVD, I guess its running time is 115. haha.. no need to spend $200 buck to buy short versions. Don't you think so?

I'll wait the Japanese Salo DVD.
(it is not released yet)

Thanks for the replies.
