Carl Sagan's COSMOS UK vs US DVDs, differences?
There's the US release, and there's a UK set
Says that the US release is on 7 discs, with the UK listings saying 5 discs.
The US version comes with a lot of subtitles, most likely to have the same discs pressed for multiple regions.
Can't find a single review for the UK set, which is much cheaper in price. Anyone have a list of extras and subtitles for the UK set?
In the meantime....

Re: Carl Sagan's COSMOS UK vs US DVDs, differences?
I don't know what the differences are between the U.S. and U.K. releases, but I personally am hoping for a release at some point of the digitally remastered 25th anniversary version of Cosmos shown on the Science Channel that had a lot of updated graphically images in it. Because after seeing Hubble's images, the space images in Cosmos needed updating to still retain their "wow!" factor (IMO).
Some of the new graphics can be seen here.
(Unfortunately, the Cosmos DVDs sold at the Science Channel's store is only the original version so not sure when or if the updated 25th anniversary version will ever be released.)

Re: Carl Sagan's COSMOS UK vs US DVDs, differences?
It took a while but I finally got the UK set for a cheap £7.95.
Differences are the US version seems to have a remixed 5.1 track or a music only 5.1 track while the UK version has a 2.0 stereo track, and no isolated music track.
Both have the "Science Updates" video pieces, but the US version has an updates subtitle track as well.
I can't compare the picture quality though.
