Yes, I noticed this as well! Maybe announcing an imminent closure is a wacky way to drum up some business?? If only Tower Records had used such a tactic....only to remain open in the end? I'll have to try and order again from Nicheflix!

3 discs just shipped today - so something happened. Very odd.

I noticed that the closure notice had disappeared from the site as well. No new/updated information to be found on their forum, though...no one has posted (or been able to post?) since mid-December. Curious to see what happens...I can't find any updates online.

I was also able to place an order (for some rentals that I've been waiting ages to come back in stock). Curiouser and curiouser...

This definitely sucks, I was just getting ready to sign up and rent a bunch of things you just can't get here in the US. Someone please tell me there's an alternative out there!

The annoucement is back on the front page. Though it still has Dec 22nd as the end date.
