Same here - but for anyone who doesn't own most of them, it's a great package!

Is The Nanny (1965) in it's OAR? The previous release on DVD was 4.3!

The Nanny is widescreen. The extras are actually fairly sparse. There are a few scattered interviews. Many faces of Christopher Lee featurette on Dracula-POD, To the Devil... The Death of Hammer on To the Devil a daughter. On One Million BC there were interviews with Harryhausen and Welch. There were a few scattered trailers and 3 or 4 commentaries. All the films are widescreen anamorphic and the transfers are kind of hit or miss and probably reused from other sources. I have only watched a few of the films. She looks pretty bad but I have never seen it before. By bad I don't want to imply that it is unwatchable, but it is bad enough that it is distracting at first. The Nanny has a good transfer. Dracula-POD looks great. One Million BC looks good and appears to be the longer cut but I've not seen the Fox R1 disc so I can't compare the two. Good transfer on To the Devil a Daughter.

I got the set for 66.88 GBP shipped. The packaging is pretty small. There are four small digipacks. A small booklet with a synopsis for each film and several postcards with poster art but not one for each film. The artwork of the set is pretty subdued as you can tell by the pitures and is almost limited to the disc art itself. I like the compact design but since most of the discs are single layered, it could have easily been a 11 disc set of dual layered discs with the exact same content. If universal had released it, it would have been 5 DVD-18's and a DVD-9.

No subs at all I'm afraid. Zeta Minor's excellent Hammer DVD guide does give some screenshot comparisons for some titles and the new set seems to fare pretty well. Here is a comparison for She which I stated was a rather poor transfer. Seems it is a tad sharper than the previous non-anamorphic R2 Warner but is cropped. There are some rather rare titles in the set and many of which are OOP in R1. For what I paid, I'm happy with the set despite the lack of extras. Mainly I'm pleased that the transfers are good in regards to what has been available before and all are anamorphic. I'm watching Scars of Dracula now and it looks good and has a commentary track. Zeta Minor's guide has information regarding which titles have commentary tracks.
