Toshiba sd-4900 Region Hack?

Ok, I've been searching around on the web for the region hack for my Toshiba 4900, but none of the links to the firmware work anymore (I guess I am behind the 8-ball on this). Does anyone have the files I need? If so can you please E-mail them to me at [email protected] or give me a working link to the file?

Thanks!
Matthew Zolton

Did you try this remote hack?

Put in DVD.
When you get region whine message press: [menu] [1] [play]
Disc should play, but with region message still up.
Press Marker then Clear. Message is now gone.

You can go to the menu for setup, or keep watching the movie, the choice is yours. Does great anamorphic PAL conversion, too.

Thank you, but I already know about the remote hack. I was just looking for the firmware update so I don't have to mess around with the remote.

Anyone have these? I really have looked extensivly for the files, but can't find them anywhere.

Matthew I still have a disc with the file on it at home but I'm out of the country until Jan 3rd. If you haven't found a copy by then, I'll be happy to email you the file.

Well, no one has contacted me about these files, no one even has responded to my post in the videohelp.com forum, so if you are still willing to E-mail me the files when you get back in the country, I will love you forever!

Thanks you!
