Thanks for the pointer. So the transfers are not anamorphic but at least have the right aspect ratio.

Yeah, just received my shipping notice as well. However, only 2 of 3 shipped........so I'm still waiting on "Stalker" (not anymore, see below).

edit to add: Some great prices for sure and I'm not often in a hurry to receive my orders.......but, that being said, I haven't really been too pleased with Amazon UK recently. First, the issue with the recent "Asterix & Obelix" DVD and also some really, really long delays in recent orders (not just this one).

edited again to add: actually I just checked the shipment e-mail again and it said "order is complete" so I checked my info. on their site and it indicates "Stalker" has indeed shipped separately. So I guess I should be getting that e-mail soon enough.

I guess quite a few peeps caught wind of this deal, cause my Apu disc got shpped earlier in the week, and Stalker got shipped out yesterday.

Mine shipped too. They split the shipment, though for some reason. I'm probably being charged more that way or something but at this point, I don't care.

chente, I wouldn't worry about having been charged more for shipping. My Amazon UK orders always seem to be split-shipped in all sorts of ways and the final shipping cost has never been different from my initial order placement. So in that way Amazon UK is certainly okay.

Now that I've finally seen the Red Sox win a World Series, I keep forgetting that I should be more of an optimist in life........so instead of griping about Amazon UK's shipping delays, I'll say, "hey, great they waited so long to ship because the currency conversion rate is likely better now - from a U.S. resident's perspective - than it was back in October."

Giles, "The Apu Trilogy" was part of my order as well (along with "Eureka"); it still brings a smile to my face seeing that 44.99 price listed on their site; definitely one of my better bargains in 2005.

My copy of "Stalker" is still not being shipped... Since it's the only item that would take longer to be available in my order, I still can't see why Amazon UK hasn't had my order split for shipment yet?? *sob*

My order has now been split into 6 different shipments, none of which has actually shipped. Additionally, they keep sending me delay notifications for parts of the order.

I didn't notice anyone mention this ... Michael Haneke's "Code Unknown" is £8.97. And according to DVDbeaver, it's a far superior dvd than the US release.

It is a port of the MK2 disc and of course it is much better (though the French disc remains the best as it has the 5.1 track, the UK is only 2.0). The Cover is also much better on the Frenchie...

Ciao,

None of my order has shipped either, but I think I'm partly responsible for that as I kept adding more titles to the original order ...
